Job Description:
Position Summary

  • Responsible for testing SOA ( service oriented architecture ) based applications using Parasoft SOA Test.
  • Responsible for analyzing the business requirements and developing test plans & test scripts based on business objectives and design.
  • Responsible for web services and message based testing, database validation, and manual batch testing.
  • Responsible for fully automating the regression suites for applications using Parasoft SOA Test.
  • Responsible for defect and status reporting
  • Responsible for supporting UAT and end to end testing efforts as needed


Required Skills

  • Expert : (Strong skills)
  • Parasoft SOA Test, SOA & web services, Web Methods, XML, SOAP, MQ and WSDL technologies, SQL
  • Working knowledge:
  • JDBC, SoapUI
  • Waterfall and Agile methodologies


Desired Skills
Candidate should possess excellent Parasoft SOA Test Automation experience, in depth experience in SOA and web services (service testing, middleware testing, messaging validation and virtualization), knowledge of industry standards, proactive planning and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

  • 4-6 years of hands on experience in ESB / SOA / EAI based application testing using Parasoft SOA Test. (Enterprise Service Bus /Service Oriented Architecture / Enterprise Application Integration)
  • 4-6 years of hands on experience writing advanced SQL queries with strong data analysis skills
  • Good understanding of XML, SOAP, MQ, WSDL technologies
  • Experience with creating stubs / responders using Parasoft SOA Test
  • Experience working on other SOA testing tools, preferably SOAP UI or Postman.
  • Experience in functional test execution • Proven experience with ALM, JIRA, qTest
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with quick adaptation to new technologies, methodologies, and systems
  • Full lifecycle development methodology, SOA Testing Concepts and Methodology
  • Strong software testing concepts
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to convey message to a broad audience
  • Detail-oriented and persistent, able to drive complicated tasks through to completion
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
  • Individual contributor, capable of self-directing daily tasks
  • Seeks out best practices to find opportunities for improvements in test execution process
