Job Posting TitleQuality Control Inspector

Summary

Perform inspections on manufacturing materials and assemblies to ensure conformity to drawing and quality standards. Inspectors are responsible for in process/final line inspections, to ensure product(s) have been tested and fall within quality standards and customer requirements.
This has been designated as a safety-sensitive job because it involves performing one or more tasks/duties that could reasonably affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task(s) or others.What You'll Do

• Performs routine inspections unassisted and testing of incoming fabricated parts, components, assemblies and completed electromechanical gaming machines.
• Verifies that inspected material meets specified VGT standards and/or PO requirements.
• Must strictly follow quality standards and meet daily / weekly production goals 
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with compliance regulations. 

• Generates inspection reports including discrepant material reports and weekly & monthly incoming inspection summary reports.
• Ensures that calibration of inspection tools and equipment is maintained.
• Assists with the identification of root causes for discrepant material and with determination of corrective action needed. Collects and organizes data to support vendor corrective action requests.
• Performs occasional audits and finished goods audits.
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into SharePoint logs and or emails. 
• Performs other duties and tasks that may be assigned by Quality Leadership
 

What We're Looking For

  • Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, quality criteria and other technical documentation.
  • Must have experience and competence using standard inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, radius gages, height gage and other handheld inspection tools
  • Must be familiar with inspection techniques, sampling plans (AQL) and standard industry workmanship practices.
  • Working knowledge of geometric tolerancing required (ANSI Y1.5 preferred). Experience with IPC-610 preferred. 
  • Good administrative skills and communication skills (written and verbal) required. 
  • Math skills needed including working with fractions, decimals, and percentages. 
  • Knowledge of inspection techniques
  • Must be computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to meet goals and deadlines on time.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one-year quality inspection experience required 
  • Must be able to stand, sit, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear.
  • Might be occasionally required to kneel or crouch
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds’ short distances without mechanical aid occasionally and frequently lift and/or move 20 pounds
  • Job requirements for this job include close vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to distinguish colors.
