PSS Support & Cost Optimization Business Manager

The PS&S (Print Services & Solutions) Category & Current Business Management team is searching for top caliber talent to join our team. We are looking to compliment our team with an individual who will be responsible for optimizing our P&L by engaging with key stakeholders to drive optimized cost & support performance. This empowered person will function in a worldwide capacity, focusing on planning & initiatives through engagement with our market, operations, customer support, finance & GTM teams.

As a PSS Business Manager, you will be responsible for driving our Flash, Quota & Long-Term Planning activities. Through engagement with our markets, you will understand what we need to do, ensure that we have the correct initiatives prioritized & resourced. You will monitor initiative progress & KPI's to ensure that we are progressing on plan. This role will require knowledge of the interworking's of our contractual business, planning routines & the ability to collaborate across a range of multiple business functions. It will be expected that you can foster strong relationships, align & influence senior management & executives.

The key responsibilities can be summarized into the following:

  • Partner with PS&S Finance in managing Flash, Quota & LTP (Long Term Planning) with a focus on our service cost drivers.
  • Develop strong relationships with our market teams. Understand how their processes work. Align on top priorities for P&L / business optimization & ensure we have the right plans in place to address.
  • In partnership with the PS&S Operations team & Finance, ensure that we have an aligned optimization plan in place with our Customer Support, Sales Operation & other key cost organizations. Keep the PS&S organization & key stakeholders aware of project status & expectations.
  • Have a strong understanding of our customer journey, the associated HP systems that support & ensure we have plans in place to optimize.
  • Develop a business management process that includes KPIs & engagement approaches that allow us to clearly see progress, problems & opportunities. Design in a way that is most efficient (ie. Minimize review / meeting times).
  • Facilitate reviews for management staff that summarizes key metrics and conclusions. Drive resolution to metrics issues with the partners (regions, finance, operations and planning).
  • Provide adhoc analytical & management reporting as required.


Qualifications

Education and Experience Required
  • First level university degree required, MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of business management, Contractual print experience, support operations and/or P&L management.


Knowledge and Skills Required
  • Demonstrated ability link business processes to data sources leading to insightful analysis as a foundation for key business decisions.
  • Understanding of the industry, offering categories and HP offerings/ strategy
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent written/oral communications
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build, manage and influence virtual teams
  • Exceptional negotiating skills
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and functional disciplines, both within and outside HP
  • Strong influencing and consensus-building skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
