Overview
The Property Preservation Associate performs and coordinates timely accurate analysis on property condition, maintenance and repairs to minimize the cost risk associated to preserve investor properties
on FHA, VA, USDA, FNMA and FHLMC portfolios.
Job Description

    • Responsible for a portfolio of FHA, VA, USDA and Conventional loans to oversee property preservation. Manage FHA portfolios in presale and post-sale to prepare properties for conveyance to HUD.
    • Ability to review photos of homes and property to determine condition and type of repairs required to place the home in conveyance condition by HUD guidelines.
    • Able to review home repair bids, line item insurance claims, photos of home damages to make final determination on repairs to perform, cost associated with repairs or if work is necessary.
    • Ability to negotiate cost of repairs with vendors to reduce company expense. Ability to review completed repairs for quality, timeliness, workmanship and determine if vendor is liable for property neglect.
    • Able to communicate both verbally and in text to relay instructions to vendors, pose questions to determine correct path of repairs, inform managers of progress and update internal systems with concise and clear notes.
    • Able to meet and exceed goals in a fast paced and demanding environment. Analyzing numerous request and reports daily to ensure compliance with established guidelines in Property Preservation.
    • Ability to review bids, photos, inspections on a daily basis to track status of ongoing vendor work on 100 plus loans in your work queue.
    • Review Investor guidelines to determine proper procedure to ensure compliance and timelines are being adhere too.
    • Respond to e-mails, internal and external customer request in a timely and accurately manner.

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • Candidate must be highly organized, highly ethical with a high attention to detail
  • This is a work from office position.
  • Must be proficient in Excel and Word
  • Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
  • Mortgage Servicing industry, Construction or Insurance adjuster experience helpful but not required.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
