The Lyft Vehicle Service Operations team is looking for a highly skilled operations lead to lead and support the implementation of Lyft’s service strategy as it pertains to our mobile service program. Candidates must have previous experience designing, implementing, and overseeing business operations, developing partner relationships, experience working with different tools and softwares and be willing to interface with a combination of both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

We’re looking for a talented Program Operations Lead to further expand on the services we provide within the Mobile Service team. In this role reporting into the Regional Service Manager, you will own and drive operational initiatives that improve the internal and external process and experiences. You will build and maintain partnerships with our product, engineering, procurement and global operations teams, as well as manage our external parts and fleet management vendors through acquisition and billing processes. 

Experienced candidates should have a background in the automotive service and maintenance industry.  Additionally, knowledge of automotive software, vehicle repair processes and technologies, as well as high volume, high quality and large-scale operations is desired. Candidates must have previous experience developing relationships, a proven track record of successfully managing vendors and partnerships, and experience in leading initiatives from design to execution. Successful candidates will be able to thrive in a high energy team environment managing multiple projects at once.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Lyft Vehicle Service teams, cross functional partners and external vendors to build and improve our business and operational processes and tools. 
  • Manage strategic relationships of Lyft Mobile Service partners and suppliers
  • Execute ongoing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Engage with suppliers to develop processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop and implement new tools, processes, products, etc.
  • Work directly with Lyft Field Operations Teams to resolve issues and ensure continued operational excellence
  • Develop processes to ensure 100% up-time of Lyft Mobile Service parts and inventory supply
  • Collaborate to build and implement budget planning systems and tools for new site openings and ongoing operations
  • Act as SME for issues and escalations
  • Provide SME technical support for internal and external stakeholders

 

Experience:

  • Capable of ingesting technical information and preparing reports / analysis 
  • Exceptional track record of delivering on complex, high visibility, face paced,  cross functional projects in a high growth environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills to juggle many tasks without losing sight of the highest priority items.
  • Extreme attention to detail with a passion for adherence to standards.
  • Experience using problem solving and root cause analysis tools
  • Understanding of automotive repair and aftermarket parts industry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive oem or supplier, automotive aftermarket, production or manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience managing relationships with external partners within the automotive or a related industry
  • Proven capability to solve complex problems
  • Experience building and scaling processes from scratch
  • Develop KPI scorecards, dashboards and other reporting systems as needed
  • SQL, Tableau, Mode, Excel
