The Professional Development Associate contributes to the effective functioning of the regional department of Professional Development by providing support for the provision of education, consultation, and practice consultation. This includes independently coordinating and assisting with the preparation, scheduling, development, hosting, and evaluation of life support and other educational programs for patient-facing caregivers including Nurses, Providers, and other Caregivers.
The Professional Development Associate collaborates with Clinical Nursing Educators and the Coordinators for Continuing Medical and Nursing Education in ensuring adherence to accreditation standards for the administration of programs that award Continuing Education credit. This position assists leadership and the Educational Services Coordinator in maintaining the departmental internet and intranet sites and in facilitating the daily activities of the Regional Office including performing routine clerical duties, interfacing with caregivers and the public, and maintaining efficient operations.
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma -or- equivalent
- Two (2) years of experience in a similar role within a health care organization
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Experience educating adults; knowledge of adult learning theory
- Experience working with online learning management systems
