Summary:
Reporting to the Sr Production Manager, the Production Manager will lead all activities associated with their assigned Lines within the production team. This individual will be responsible for developing and motivating a team of salaried and hourly employees to deliver safe quality, and cost-effective production in accordance with King's Hawaiian standards and with Aloha Spirit. The Production Manager is responsible for Line performance objectives and deliverables.
Job Requirements:

  • Directly leads a team of salaried supervisors to successfully deliver results in Safety, Quality, Output, Cost, and positive employee relations in accordance with King's Hawaiian Operating Principles and Aloha Spirit
  • Promotes our company values of "Dignity, Excellence, and Telling it like it is in a way that can be heard" through actions and accountability
  • Responsible for the development of operations personnel through effective training, succession planning, performance reviews, and accountability
  • Tracks and monitors operational output measures (i.e. OEE, yield, product quality, safety incidents) and develops tactics and strategies to improve for assigned lines.
  • Ensure all employees follow industry-standard health and safety guidelines
  • Create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels
  • Effectively manages the production plans and relevant support activities in their respective areas
  • Ensures that policies, procedures, and systems are in place to ensure continuous operations, proactive maintenance, and timely problem resolution
  • Develops and implements both short-term and long term plans to align with departmental and plant strategies
  • Actively participates and supports all Safety initiatives within the plant, while engaging team members in these activities
  • Supports and drives plant continuous improvement strategy
  • Develop high performing work teams to support the growth of the business and the manufacturing site by hiring, supervising, motivating, coaching, mentoring, setting expectations, and providing fair accountability with Aloha spirit
  • Meets regularly with direct reports to set goals and monitor progress towards goals
  • Ensures effective communications and relationships are developed and maintained with support functions
  • Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Quality, etc.)
  • The role may require off-shift and weekend work
  • The responsibilities associated with this job will change from time to time in accordance with the Company's business needs. More specifically, the incumbent may be required to perform additional and/or different responsibilities from those set forth above. Scope of Position:


Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering, business operations management, or a similar field.
  • 7+ years of cross-functional experience in a manufacturing leadership position, preferably Food and Beverage or CPG
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma, TPM)
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering results and leading people/projects in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis, as well as a group
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, presentation, and negation skills
  • Strong and effective communication skills - written & oral
  • Computer Proficiency (All MS Office Applications)
