About the role

FinTech is a part of the CFO's organization and responsible for innovating and building the best financial products & systems in the world. We provide systems for compliance, data reliability, audit, and ensure timely availability of business-critical data. This group is on the critical path to enabling Uber to become a world-class business operation and at the leading edge of operational excellence.

As a Product Manager on the FinTech team, you will envision and execute a financial product roadmap working closely with partners across different teams in Uber. You will be responsible for the overall metrics and business impact of your programs. Your performance is measured by the impact of the projects you launch seamlessly and by your ability to influence and inspire a high-performing cross-functional team that includes Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations.

What You'll Do

  • Work with Finance and other cross-functional teams to get a deep understanding of the processes and data
  • Own the success of the goals, and ensure long-term seamless and scalable processes
  • Work with Finance and other cross-functional teams to get a deep understanding of the processes and data flows, and translate business requirements into executable specifications
  • Work with Engineering and other technical teams to deliver system solutions and influence the direction of the platform
  • Work closely with analysts and designers to deliver and enhance the products
  • Coordinate and facilitate user acceptance testing and conduct end-user training.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of Product Management experience, delivering highly successful and innovative technology products with your signature all over them.
  • A "driver" personality - constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery while balancing the need for phenomenal collaboration.
  • High standards across the board - from your own contributions to the people you work with to the products you work on.
  • Experience using data to create an insightful story and make decisions with little guidance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Computer science undergraduate degree or other engineering degree equivalent.
  • Solid understanding of any two areas from Accounting, Consolidations, Treasury and M&A
  • You have experience collaborating with CFO's organization on building enterprise performance management leveraging Planning Analytics/TM1/Anaplan or other enterprise planning tools.
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate at a strategic level as well as the ability to drill down to the details.
  • You have experience in deploying financial application projects globally.
  • You can run your own queries, analyze data to fix or define problems.
  • Experience in creating products around Oracle and any other ERP applications will be an added advantage.
  • Able and willing to work in a fast paced, quickly changing environment.
  • Keen user-centric point of view and experience.
  • Passion for Uber's mission and the company's hybrid technology/operations nature.
