Product Cybersecurity Threat and Risk Assessment Lead

Hybrid: This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired.
This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-3 times per week.
The Product Cybersecurity Threat and Risk Assessment (TARA) Lead develops, integrates, and maintains TARA tools consistent with security and automotive industry risk assessment best practices and standards.
The TARA lead will drive the maturation of a risk assessment tool that will, over time, increase the integration of an adversarial attack framework being developed within the Automotive Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Auto-ISAC). This framework is based on the Mitre ATT&CK framework. The TARA lead will ensure that risk assessment tools comply with ISO/SAE 21434 and UN Regulation No 155 - Cyber Security and Cyber Security management System. They will also work closely and support the Product Cybersecurity Compliance Lead and with the vast majority of the entire Product Cybersecurity team. Additionally, they will represent GM in any Auto-ISAC effort related to industry risk framework development and rollout.
Additional Description
- BA or BS in a technical area of study (e.g., Statistics/Mathematics/ME/EE/CS/CE/Physics/Chemistry/Software Engineering)
- Strong oral, written, and storytelling skills
- Programming experience (any modern language)
- Risk assessment/risk management experience preferred (5+ years)
- Experience with existing automotive risk assessment frameworks preferred (e.g., CVSS, evita, HEAVENS)
- Systems engineering experience preferred
