Sr. Procurement Director
Procurement Director will build and lead our company-wide procurement function, including the oversight and development of processes and standards related to strategic sourcing, negotiating vendor agreements, and vendor relationship management.
Responsibilities:
- Create the company’s procurement strategy and own the procurement roadmap to deliver on this vision.
- Develop and implement company-wide procurement policies and ensure company-wide adoption and adherence to such policies.
- Build excellent relationships with senior leadership to understand each leader’s business requirements. Provide guidance on vendor sourcing, vendor selection and negotiating strategy.
- Lead negotiations, where appropriate, for the company’s highest-value and most complex vendor relationships.
- Manage business risks by negotiating legal terms and conditions to protect the company and ensure vendor performance.
- Consolidate spend data from accounts payable, corporate credit cards, and employee expense reports to report and track the performance of the procurement function.
- Deliver improved financial and non-financial results for the business through increasing the value and cost effectiveness of vendor relationships.
- Partner with the Controller’s Org and FP&A to optimize procurement functionality and maximize opportunities for additional efficiencies through better automation and system integrations.
- Identify opportunities for year-over-year improvements in spend as well as quality and service.
Requirements:
- 10+ years experience in procurement and sourcing roles.
- Technology (software) or healthcare industry experience.
- BA or BS degree required. Masters or MBA qualifications are a plus.
- Procurement certifications are a plus (such as CPP, CPSM, or CPM).
- Ability to build effective, strategic relationships with senior leadership.
- Experienced and skilled negotiator, able to develop negotiating plans and strategies.
- Expertise in legal contracts, including multi-year contracts, complex terms and conditions, performance incentives and SLAs, and management of corporate risk.
- Ability to create written procurement policies, procedures, and processes.
- Self-reliant, hands-on, adept at working across the organization to drive change through action and influence.
