Principal Cyber Security Analyst Team Lead
Job Description:
Identifies, tracks, monitors, and manages current cybersecurity incidents. Researches threat intelligence, vulnerabilities, campaigns and indicators of compromise using basic scripting techniques. Evaluates and guides vendors in the development of software patches and work-arounds to address systems vulnerabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Tracks issues or threats for client or company security systems and runs basic analyses on security system data
- Aids in resolving client and company security issues related to security incidents and threats
- Uses knowledge of the client's business and industry to increase understanding of security solution issues, threats and necessary software patches and work-arounds
- Maintains and enhances a client's or company's security solutions based on research and analysis of security systems
- Provides suggestions for security solution improvements based on security issue response and technology knowledge and experience
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent work experinece) required, preferably in computer science, engineering or related area of study
- 1+ years experience in relevant technologies, products and customer environments
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated Cyber and IT security knowledge
- Proficient understanding of Cyber and IT security risks, threats and prevention measures
- Proficient understanding of SQL and relevant scripting languages
- Demonstrated security system analysis skills
- Proficient understanding of security standards and best practices
- Demonstrated risk assessment and management skills
- Demonstrated understanding of networking and network security
- Demonstrated understanding of network monitoring and protocols
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant .Net development, programming and scripting languages
