About the PPO Planning, Scheduling and Business Systems Manager:
This position is within General Motors' Pre-Production (PPO) organization and is responsible for leading a team for the successful planning and scheduling of all PPO program work through the body and general assembly build shops. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively across many functions to drive program success.
- Lead a team of 7 responsible for the planning and scheduling of all PPO program work through the body and general assembly build shops
- PPO Business Systems Manager and liaison with the IT Business Facing Manager and software developers
- Participate in the development and management of all new IT projects for PPO
- Collaborate with other system owners and IT to resolve application issues, interface errors and system outages (GPDS/EMS/EMBASSY/ABAT)
- Manage ownership/roles/responsibilities for all current PPO systems
- Provide access to new users of ABAT and IVPS build floor systems
- Provide access to business owned systems and new Teams sites through ASMS (Application and Site Management System)
- Organize/facilitate monthly Global IT Council Meetings
- PPO Business Systems representative in the PPO IT Steering Committee meeting with PPO and IT upper management
- PPO representative in monthly Manufacturing Engineering Joint Focus Team meeting
- Oversee the information gathering and reporting of PPO On Time Performance data for GMNA and our global partners
- Ensure concise tracking and reporting of equivalent vehicles for financial budget use and manpower planning
- Oversee all PPO program reporting to ensure on time delivery with first time quality
- Assist team in gathering pre-production future program information, counts, build strategy, etc., working with PPO build shops, engineering program teams, program validation engineers, etc.
- Support the team in resolving scheduling/planning issues or concerns
- Resolve PPO capacity and customer requirement issues
- Assign and manage workload for the planners and schedulers
- Working knowledge of GVDP timing, Momentum, CR/DNs, shared drives, SharePoint, EMBASSY, ABAT, IVPS, GPDS, VDS
