Portfolio Operations Specialist

The Portfolio Operations team is responsible for providing focused support to Adhesion’s internal Platform/Client Support and Trading teams. Adhesion is looking for an individual to join this team and contribute to the daily processes and workload in order to fully support the numerous vital functions that transpire between our clients and their investments. The Portfolio Operations Specialist will be responsible for mastering the Adhesion and Vestmark portfolio accounting platforms in order to administer routine data processing as well as play a key role in performing root cause analyses to resolve any deviations from routine workflows. Assuring data integrity and attention to detail are imperative responsibilities for this team member. The position serves as a liaison between client support and trading which requires an enthusiastic and congenial team player with strong communication skills. The operational duties involve collaborative decision making and may involve tight deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Daily Posting & Reconciliation – Complete daily posting and reconciliation of applicable client custodial data with Portfolio Center and Vestmark.
- Account setup and changes – interpret / implement account level settings related to investment criteria (cash settings, trade level parameters, allocation assignment, etc.)
- Model & Composite setup – setup / implement model / composite level settings related to defining the target investment allocation.
- Trading Support – Collaborate with Client Services and/or Trading teams by fielding inbound cases and/or emails, answering inquiries or redirecting as needed.
- Issue Resolution – troubleshoot and resolve account data discrepancies/inquiries in a timely manner.
- Corporate Action maintenance – interpret corporate actions processing and how it affects shares, cost basis and account positions across different managers.
- Best practices – Work with team members to continue to develop and improve best practices which enhance the quality and efficiency of daily operations.
- Time management – Process necessary modifications to accounts in a timely manner and within the parameters determined by Adhesion’s Target Service Levels.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- Experience working with custodians, RIAs, IBDs, or other financial institutions
