Corvus is seeking a Policyholder Technical Advisor to provide technical advisory support to our policyholders and internal teams. The Policyholder Technical Advisor will serve as a technical subject matter expert to support Corvus policyholders and internal teams in learning and understanding cybersecurity and information technology best practices. This role focuses on the creation of content and scalable support frameworks to empower policyholders and independent teams with the technical information required for risk mitigation. The Policyholder Technical Advisor will report directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and work closely with the Risk + Response team, Underwriting team, and Marketing team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance to policyholders and internal Corvus teams on security and IT best practices
  • Support underwriters in assessing the effectiveness of security controls of future policyholders
  • Conduct post incident calls with policyholders to discuss their security roadmap and deliver best practices
  • Serve as an advisor to the Corvus claims team and policyholders during the incident response process
  • Serve as an escalation path from our Risk + Response team for technical questions
  • Develop content for cybersecurity and IT best practices
  • Create and deliver training to internal and external audiences
  • Function as a stakeholder with the product team to consistently improve the policyholder and underwriter experience

Qualifications 

  • 2+ years working within one or more the following technical areas:
    • IT / Security professional services
    • Incident response / forensics
    • Windows / systems administration
    • Network engineering
    • Cloud engineering
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of the following areas:
    • Current security trends, threats, and mitigations
    • Cybersecurity best practices
    • Incident response
    • Windows environments
    • Cloud environments
    • Backup and recovery solutions
    • Identity Access Management (IAM)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be able to write and present with impact to non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a matrixed/multi-faceted organization
  • Demonstrated sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability
