Planning Specialist
Disney Ad Sales' Revenue Management division is seeking a qualified and experienced candidate who will be an excellent addition to our Pricing & Planning team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing mentorship and education to our Planners and will be tasked with supporting the revenue generation of our Ad Sales organization. The Planning Specialist will be passionate about the coordination, training, execution, and development of our Planning team and will focus on evaluating, revising, and implementing new processes, sales strategies, and tactics. Those in this role will assist in helping to supervise the performance, workflow, and progress of all members of our Planning team. The Planning Specialist will build and manage relationships with key business partners at various levels of the organization in order to drive better practices. The right person for this role will be able to prioritize multiple tasks at a time, a strong communicator, a problem-solver, and is adept at building & maintaining relationships. Responsibilities :
- Oversee and execute recruitment, onboarding & training efforts for new Sales Planners
- Develop, update, and implement training and process documentation to support changes in business strategy
- Partner with other Planning Specialists & Finance in supervising Operative One plan and IO workflow and approvals
- Support the Planning Managers in evaluating Sales Planner performance to ensure that team goals are achieved
- Implement pricing & planning strategy as crafted by Revenue Management
- Collaborate with Planning leads in identifying & addressing process inefficiencies across workflows
- Build & update tracking/reporting/organizational solutions to help facilitate the growth of the business
- Capture & document system requirements prior to executing system improvements & upgrades
- Utilize marketplace knowledge and experience to help improve upon new and developing go-to-market strategies
- Serve as a supporting liaison to Sales and Sales Support teams, including Streaming & Measurement Solutions, Finance and Ad Operations
- As needed, assist in the preparation and follow-up for client meetings, including the review of industry and account-specific information
- Serve as a subject matter expert on different areas of the business and help lead implementation & education/training across Sales, Revenue Management, and various Sales Support teams
Basic Qualifications :
- A minimum of 4 years working in a digital/linear advertising capacity, with a focus on training and education preferred
- Experience working within a national sales organization
- Experience with Salesforce and Operative One
- A solid understanding of online ad products, ad serving capabilities, philosophies, and drawbacks
- Outstanding Excel & PowerPoint skills
- Ability to present complicated concepts and ideas in an easy-to-understand format
- Dedicated and engaging, with a positive approach towards problem-solving
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, positive, and multifaceted environment
