Provide Personnel Security (PERSEC) support in a fast-paced environment for both Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) programs.

Interpret DoD policies, guidance, and procedures in coordination with company policies to ensure compliance of a large-cleared employee base. Core of job entails indoctrinations for DoD accesses, debriefs, citizenship verifications, visit request submittals, and all actions to support the cradle to grave upkeep of personnel clearances.

Additional duties include passing VAR request, maintaining personnel records in DISS, assisting in the implementation of the Security Awareness Training program, submitting CAC request, taking fingerprints for clearance submissions, and submitting SCI Nomination Request. This is a junior position.

Required:

  • Basic working knowledge of the 32 CFR Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and DoDM 5200.02 Procedures for the DoD Personnel Security Program (PSP)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience with all Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision
  • Established ability/flexibility to move from one task to another and to be available for a variety of tasks as the need arises
  • Provide clear guidance to company employees
  • Attention to Detail
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of customer/client service and response.
  • Basic working knowledge of personnel security administration activities (citizenship verification, DoD security briefings, classified information non-disclosure agreements, and personnel clearance justification forms)
  • Basic knowledge on processing personnel for security clearances. This includes the review of background investigation reports and provide assessments of their adequacy, accuracy, and completeness. Request additional investigative actions or develop useable information as needed to render a well-informed decision.
  • Working knowledge of DISS. Report Incidents, Foreign Travel and CSRs via DISS
  • Create employee badges
  • Responsible for processing incoming and outgoing Visitor Access Requests (VAR)
  • Update and Maintain ThreatSwitch Database
  • Providing Monthly reports of company cleared employees
  • Knowledge of document control processes
  • Assist with and draft company policy for Internal Portal
  • Ability to conduct New Hire Orientation

Qualifications Required:

  • Must have an active Secret clearance with the eligibility for Top Secret
  • 2-3 years of experience; direct personnel security processing experience, knowledge of clearance levels and various forms used to process security requests
  • Must be able to work at customer site 3 days a week

Desired Qualifications:

  • Exposure or basic knowledge of databases (ThreatSwitch)

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Secret clearance
