Performance Leader

Georgia-Pacific Consumer Operations is seeking qualified professionals to be considered for our Performance Leader role to support PerfecTouch Product Systems at the Dixie Products Operations Plant located in Lexington, KY. The Lexington Plant is an integrated Dixie cup products manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate for this role will possess the ability to challenge the status quo to facilitate continuous improvement; collaborate across roles and diverse groups, gather and share feedback; stay current in best practices and be a continuous learner. The successful candidate will have leadership responsibility for the hiring and development of the hourly operations employees and managing all aspects of their performance. This leader will assist in establishing a MBM® culture, developing an ownership-based work system and will be accountable for the product system results that are impacted by their team's performance and capability. This role will be responsible for approximately 50 employees and will report to the Product System Leader. This position will have a significant role in optimizing the work system for PerfecTouch®.
What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Provide leadership through the application of Market Based Management® to achieve superior results.
  • Responsible for hiring and onboarding of employees for the Product System.
  • Coordinate safety risk assessments for operational and physical hazards with operation. technicians assisting them with developing and implementing solutions to reduce risks.
  • Focused on human performance of product system through defining, educating, coaching and executing various disciplined operation processes/procedures.
  • Lead and role model our MBM Culture and align with the Ownership Based Work System
  • Lead, mentor and develop team coaches, reliability coaches, EHS leaders and hourly technicians to ensure operational goals of the facility are being met.
  • Assist in the development of the facility and department vision, articulate and lead direct reports and team toward the mill vision.
  • Interface with manufacturing engineers, team coaches and reliability coaches to identify and address employee and operational performance gaps.
  • Lead individual performance reviews, career development and compensation discussions.
  • Lead the staffing and training plans for hourly technicians.
  • Responsible for operating labor and operating supply budget.
  • Assist in the development of the department's three- and five-year capital plan.

The Experience You Will Bring
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Three (3) or more years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with safety and environmental policies and processes.
• Experience facilitating 1 on 1 and group conversations.

What Will Put You Ahead

Preferred Qualifications:
• Five (5) or more years of experience leading a team of direct reports within a manufacturing environment.
