In this role you will lead the Operational Excellence (OpX) Team as it relates to transformation of manufacturing and business operations within the Pratt & Whitney Operations team. This includes the creation, development, execution and continuous improvement of an OpX Transformation Playbook. This Playbook will have direct linkage to pervasive lean, resolution of identified wastes including strategic insourcing, automation, new technologies, and will enable the creation of the transformational capital roadmaps for the mod centers to drive increased profitability for P&W.

The OpX Strategic Execution Director is responsible for leading highly visible, complex, and transformative projects that are of strategic intent enabling Pratt & Whitney to deliver on commitments to our employees, customers and shareholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with multiple key stakeholders to guide agile teams during their transformation
  • Leading a guiding coalition to help steer the transformation and engage the many stakeholders supporting the change
  • Conducting cross-team planning and coordination activities, to ensure alignment across groups helping to deliver the transformation effort
  • Ensuring the delivery of tools, training, standard practices and reference material is timely and appropriate to support teams undergoing transformation
  • Fostering a highly collaborative, engaged, risk tolerant, organization that drives aggressive innovation and cultural progress
  • Experienced in organizational and business change management and leading transformation within the operations environment.
  • Prior experience with Lean/Agile methodology or framework such as CORE (Lean), Lean Six Sigma, etc.
  • Knows the organization well and is proactive in finding individuals that can assist in eliminating roadblocks
  • Independent leader with excellent internal network of key resources to ensure delivery on results with a sense of urgency
  • Results-oriented with strong communication and customer focus
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • Hard working and able to quickly adapt to new environment and demands
  • Willing to challenge others and be challenged
  • Comfortable in learning new systems and new ways of thinking and acting

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.
