Position Overview

As a Operations Production Support Consultant within PNC's Enterprise Architecture organization, This is a remote position and can sit anywhere within the PNC footprint, except for Colorado, Hawaii or Alaska. There is limited expectation for regular in person, in office activities.

You will be accountable for analyzing the business and solution architecture needs for enterprise capabilities and related enterprise strategic roadmaps. This role will partner with various business and technology stakeholders across the enterprise to drive multi-year capability and technology strategies.

The role also will assess and drive integration strategies to gain operational efficiencies, optimize product offerings and deliver a compelling client value proposition. This architect will ensure that the bank's capabilities and enabling solutions are leveraged to their full potential.

Key deliverables in partnership with the other stakeholders are:
• Manage segments of the enterprise business capability model and provide business architecture and solution architecture viewpoints, create recommendations and roadmaps in support of key enterprise strategies. • Help define and drive the various enterprise roadmaps and solutions enabling key business strategies• Measure and demonstrate progress against the strategy and roadmaps• Work closely with the technology organizations to create various transformation and strategic roadmaps• Work closely with the enterprise architecture modeling team to help define architecture modeling vision and roadmaps• Provide thought leadership in proper implementation of processes and tools that best align with the organization's strategic objectives• Serve as a "trusted advisor" and partner with our technology and business stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives through the effective use of technology• Engage with strategic initiatives and planning activities to identify opportunities to rationalize applications/solutions/technology capabilities• Create and analyze relevant information and develop technology recommendations that are presented to senior management and business stakeholders

Some key desired skills:
• Enterprise Systems thinking & broad understanding of technologies• Strategic thinking and planning - Proactive and anticipatory in their thinking• Business and Solution Architecture experience on large technology/transformation programs in a multi-hosting ecosystem• Experience working in financial services organizations, preferably in a vendor hosted application ecosystem• Relevant architecture and industry training and/or certification such as TOGAF and BIAN• Personal skills: Communication and Presentation, Relationship Building, Collaboration, Influence

JOB PROFILE:
• This is an excellent opportunity for a senior individual with previous enterprise architecture experience. This role will allow for growth in considering broad, enterprise-impacting efforts that cross organizational boundaries and multiple disciplines. While business and solution architecture focused, this is an enterprise architecture role that will require applying the full architecture domains of business, technology, data, and application considerations for a holistic approach. • Conducts research, strategic development, and recommendations of enterprise-wide architecture for data, applications, business, and technologies.• Develops and assesses the strategies of enterprise architecture and roadmap development.• Leads IT research and development groups that design business application , data, and technology architectures for multiple departments and platforms.• Makes recommendations, gains approval, and develops implementation strategies for new technologies.• Evaluates and recommends product selection to ensure that organizational goals for security, reliability, and performance are achieved.

  • Develops and drives policy change and/or improvement. Ensures understanding, acceptance and support for business support services, methods, capabilities or initiatives through collaboration with executives, business partners and team members.
  • Drives the resolution of escalated compliance issues and risk mitigation activities. May direct the process for selection, acquisition and maintenance of vendors, compliance examiners, and operations technologies and systems.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree. Higher level education such as a Masters degree, PhD, or certifications is desirable. Industry relevant experience is typically 8+ years. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
