The Operations Specialist supports the New Accounts department, with the objective of maintaining optimal operational efficiency and effectiveness

Responsibilities:

  • To understand, perform and cross train in all of the operational responsibilities included in the opening of new accounts
  • To understand retirement accounts, RMDs, contributions, transfer, trusts, investment products 
  • Crosstrain to understand and preform Cashiering and Transfer procedures 
  • To assist in the effective management of departmental policies and procedures to ensure that all of ProEquities registered representatives are provided with accurate and timely information, service, and assistance as it pertains to research, processing and resolution of issues requiring account opening expertise
  • To assist on an as needed basis with special projects and initiatives outside the normal scope of work

Qualifications

  • Broker/Dealer Backoffice operations experience preferred 
  • Bachelor’s or Associate College Degree preferred 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to effectively multitask and prioritize to meet critical regulatory deadlines and achieve managements’ strategic objectives 
  • Must posses a strong work ethic and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor when under pressure
  • Must possess analytical skills with the ability to work independently, proactively and with a sense of urgency to devise and implement solutions
