Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of operations management.
  • 3 years of experience in the TV or media industry.
  • 3 years of experience working with data, analytics, and SQL queries.



Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in managing vendor/contractor extended staff and running global/scaled operations.
  • Ability to manage priorities and value quality.
  • Ability to lead and work in a cross-functional team environment, especially with engineering and product stakeholders.
  • Understanding of common TV operations workflows (e.g., program replacement, content embargoes, VOD content operation, video technologies, etc.).



About the job

The TV industry is changing and our team is focused on building the future of TV for YouTube. We work across a variety of initiatives like YouTube TV, YouTube Originals, and more. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for running scaled operations.

In this role, you will plan and execute programs to run service and content operations for YouTube TV and related products. You will build and refine a sustainable operations framework to support the growth and scale of the business. You will establish operational benchmarks, and drive tangible process improvements.

In this role, you will problem solve to optimize running processes for our extended TV and Media operations workforce. You will diagnose complex workflows and business processes, and synthesize supporting data to help executives make fact-based decisions. You will plan, launch, and execute process redesign and resourcing strategies. You will work independently to define required people, processes, tools, and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily digital operations for YouTube TV and related products. Design operational processes for scale and growth.
  • Define and manage operational metrics (e.g., volume, performance, and impact) and execute plans to improve the measures.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product and Engineering), to build the right operational processes and tooling investments.
  • Work with TV and Media vendor partners, drive operations, and vendor governance, including implementation of training and quality programs.
  • Forecast and plan for recurring operational and capital expenses.
