Purpose:

This position is responsible for all aspects of store operations. The Operations Business Support Manager must be available "on-call" for emergency situations.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Specialized technical training or knowledge is a plus
  • 5 years of operational experience in a high-profile, high-traffic and customer-oriented environment (retail setting preferred)
  • Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations
  • Must have skills in process development, negotiation, budgeting and forecasting, expense control and time management
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Must be organized, able to prioritize and operate with a sense of urgency
  • Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions and ask for clarification to ensure understanding Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must have intermediate to advanced level computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence



Essential Job Functions:

Vendor Management-

  • Assist in managing all service and project vendors and related data base information
  • Review agreements for vendor responsibilities
  • Communicate with Account Managers
  • Assist in ensuring compliance to contract standards and specifications
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of negotiation including areas requiring special attention
  • Assist in managing annual capital expense projects and related budgets for equipment replacement, repairs, maintenance and janitorial services for all locations.
  • Assist in implementing quality control measures, IT systems and monitoring systems
  • Assist with the annual evaluation of all service providers and renegotiation of annual contracts for national accounts
  • Recommend processes to continually improve performance, resources, skills and expense controls
  • Operations Matrix Management
  • Partner with Accounts Payable Department to set up new accounts, audit and approve invoices
  • Review profit and loss statements
  • Manage store ordering process and portal updating



General Field Support-

  • Service Now Operational Support
  • Provide support in inventory preparation
  • Biz Toolbox Reports Maintenance
  • Field support- general maintenance and escalations
  • Track and respond to communications from stores received by telephone, email, or via service ticket within a timely manner (2 days)



Technical Writing-

  • Draft and communicate operations-related policies
  • Intake and manage IC flow to stores in order to maintain proper workload
  • Task management
  • Create, design and roll out critical projects including SOPs, guides and training
  • Maintain Operations SharePoint page and support in all aspect of SharePoint



Other-

  • Maintain work orders, proposals and files
  • Produce reports as required
  • Perform other duties which may be assigned from time to time
  • Subject Matter Expert in all operational aspects



WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL, HOURS, ENVIRONMENT)

  • Limited travel is required including air and car travel
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a Warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.



PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS

Medium Work - Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
