About the job
The Red Hat Enterprise Apps Strategy and Transformation (EAST) team within the Information Technology (IT) team is looking for an Operational Readiness Enablement Lead to support enablement strategy, management, and implementation of our growing cross-functional portfolio team. You will be focused on designing a cohesive portfolio enablement strategy, along with other enablement partners, with the objective of building the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for associates to successfully support the change and processes beyond going live. You will provide support and structure to assist associates to emotionally and practically adjust to change and to build proficiency in behaviors and skills needed to achieve desired results. You will also be focused on empowering teams to understand, align, commit and prepare for the change, establishing criteria to promote success or address any roadblocks that prevent the associate from being successful. As an Operational Readiness Enablement Lead, you'll need to be motivated to engage with global stakeholders and the portfolio team, agile in response to changes and needs of various stakeholders, and analytical in identifying risks, opportunities, and dependencies. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, proven experience in portfolio or program communications, and ability to write for a variety of internal channels. Finally, you'll need to have experience with developing and deploying change management-driven communications in a corporate setting in support of large-scale initiatives and projects. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will do

  • Develop and deliver an enablement strategy and plan, using existing enablement resources and forums in a partnership model
  • Build new, consistent channels and forums to address gaps in existing enablement channels
  • Ensure that there is a clear path to share enablement information to integrate it into enablement and readiness activities
  • Work closely with an operational readiness strategist to create and align on guiding principles that will impact how we design strategies
  • Use personas and journey maps to prepare stakeholders for new ways of working
  • Incorporate change themes that will foster stakeholder engagement
  • Play a key part in change network activity, socializing change within impacted teams and assessing follow up tactics to continue to push associates along the change curve to adoption
  • Partner closely with portfolio stakeholders and partners like change consultants, communications experts, learning consultants, and project managers to design integrated operational readiness plans
  • Consult and partner within the enablement network to ensure that information meets the needs of the organization
  • Collaborate, consult, and build solid working relationships


What you will bring

  • 5+ years of experience in change, enablement, or training, or related experience
  • Familiarity with operational readiness, training, and enablement strategies and tactics
  • Proficiency in office suite tools, preferably G Suite
  • Ability to work as part of a dynamic distributed team, while demonstrating flexibility and initiative
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with associates, colleagues, and cross-functional teams and third parties
  • Ability to map enablement channels while also understanding audience personas and needs; use information to design enablement strategies and plans
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, versatility, and integrity
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple assignments
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, solve complex problems, and exercise mature judgment
  • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback
  • Ability to establish and maintain solid relationships
  • Forward looking with a holistic approach
  • Ability to work effectively at all levels in an organization
  • Acute business insight
  • Experience in large, complex global business transformation programs is a plus
