Role Purpose

The North American Physical Security Director will manage the development and implementation of an effective security service delivery program to mitigate risk, safeguard the accounts human assets, intellectual property, integrity, reputation, and physical assets to ensure continuity of operations in the North American region. The role will liasie with various stakeholders and provide governance and assurance of the in scope programme and assist the clients security management team in the regional security program. The role's primary objectives will be to manage third party security guard contracts and provide operational assurance and delivery of KPI's and SLA's. The role address all aspects of physical & personnnel security within the scope of the contract, incident & crisis management, emergency preparedness and response, investigations, security education and training, contingency planning, administrative security. The Security Director will report to the Americas JLL account Regional Account Director/Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) and will also function as the account Global Security SME, and work closely with other Regional Account Director CRMs, Regional JLL P&G Account Security Teams, Corporate JLL Security Platform Lead and Client Global Security Lead.

What this job involves

Performance

  • Implement Global Work Dynamic physical and information security strategic objectives and bring them to life for the P&G Account, ensuring effective operational relevance.
  • Apply by standards and values in the management of third party security personnel.
  • Aid the management and reduction of operational risks across the account by providing guidance and advice on security, safety and risk management at all levels.
  • Provide technical advice on relevant physical and information security issues and communicate notifications of changes in legislation that will impact service delivery and/or client.
  • Ensure a continued working knowledge of relevant current security related legislation such as guarding services operations and assure security operations are regulatory and legally compliant.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and support the account team in identifying practical cost-effective solutions and controls for physical and information security risks.
  • Work with the appropriate client Security Directors to support crisis management planning, maintain risk assessment and regional site security plan's. Under the direction of the JLL Regional Account Director CRM and Corporate JLL Security Platform Lead and or conducting liaison with P&G Regional Security Management Team.
  • Provide governance and assurance of incident management & planning, and when directed conduct/oversee incident investigation and report accordingly.
  • Organize, implement, and maintain an effective account physical and information security communication plan.
  • As requested by P&G security, provide oversight, governance and assurance of event security of conducted by third party contractors.
  • Provide security goveranace and assurance of security plans & procedures, & present comprehensive reports month, quarter and annually.
  • Provide governance and assurance of third party Security Guard contracts including; the delivery of KPI's, SLA's, staffing and support to adhoc client requests including high profile events.
  • Provide oversight and operational assurance of the operation and 24/7/365 of monitoring of in scope technical security systems; including Intrudrer Alarm Monitoring Systems, CCTV systems and Access Control Systems and operational response. Provide support to the clients technical security strategy project delivery including when required engagement with third party vendors.


Leadership

  • Foster a Culture of Safety and Security across the account
  • Lead, manage and develop the account regional physical and information security teams maintaining an appropriate structure to ensure operational physical and information security management.
  • Support Regional EHS and Security leads in developing relationships with key internal and external EHS and Security stakeholders.
  • Proactively develop and manage client relationships ensuring expected service levels are achieved and conduct appropriate tactful communications with all stakeholders and vendors.
  • Deliver an exceptional quality of service tdelivery, as reflected by client feedback.
  • Embed JLL WD physical and information security requirements and meet client requirements and standards.
  • Establish effective relationships and work co-operatively with the Account Teams, client organizations, and 3rd party vendors.
  • Contribute to the WD physical and information security programme as part of the global physical and information security leadership team.
  • Ensure 3rd party vendors maintain compliance with JLL WD and client physical and information security Standards at all times.


Standards

Lead in North America and support the Latin America the following areas:

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of JLL Global physical and information security operational controls, (i.e., process, standards, procedures, and guidelines) ensuring compliance with physical and information security obligations and JLL's physical and information security aspirations.
  • Drive the development of best practice physical and information security training programs and resources.
  • Implement security strategy and operating protocols for the safety performance of JLL's contractors and supply chain vendors.
  • Service Line objectives for security technology and operational innovation, sourcing strategies, procurement, implementation, project management and integration into the service line, region and account.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of physical and information security responsibilities and best practices globally to secure regulatory compliance, including management of change related to new and revised legislation.
  • Oversee the successful management of assurance for the physical and information security program, while supporting growth strategies related to Client, JLL and/or national and industry standards.
  • Manage tactiful communications with all stakeholders and vendors to assure all parties are timely apprised of all security incidents and opertational afairs.
  • As directed manage security related regional projects, and ensure key objectives are met.
  • Respond to business resiliency related emergencies and support crisis management globally
  • Oversee and manage executive and personnel protection security details as required, including the creation of emergency action plans to ensure preparedness.
  • Participate in cross functional efforts with client security to provide thorough analysis of security risks and development of appropriate mitigating strategies.
  • Oversee department's participation in the development of new facilities and facility renovations from a security standpoint, including security installations and access controls.
  • Current knowledge/familiarity with emerging security technologies and practices. Explore and implement new security technologies that provide value to the business.
  • Develop initiatives to stabilize compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and be knowledgeable of current trends in the security industry.
  • Facilitate the development of site-specific business continuity plans.
  • Manage staff of internal security resource and outsourced security personnel resources (partners and vendors), as appropriate to ensure the efficient and cost-effective utilization of security resources.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with local, state and federal agencies, and security peers, consultants and vendors, including OUS as appropriate.


Global Subject Matter Expert Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a 2-in-a-box relationship with P&G global counterpart
  • Development and implementation of a corporate wide security plan that assesses current threats and vulnerabilities, identifies protection goals, objectives and metrics consistent with corporate strategic objectives, and details the efficient and cost-effective utilization of security resources.
  • Develop global security policies, objectives, budgets, plans, procedures and schedules for the respective regions which may include international locations, establish security-related quality control audits and evaluate work standards and performance levels ensuring uniformity, effectiveness and appropriate staffing levels. Ensure that appropriate mitigations are in place or planned.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of training sessions that can be deployed globally, to ensure organizational preparedness for a business resiliency or security related incident and promote employee awareness and engagement.
  • Aggregate global results and reporting to client and internal
  • Facilitate and run global service line meetings and coordination to ensure the service line is joined up globally
  • Client management including escalations - although the Regional CRM is responsible and accountable for escalation resolution
  • Ensure best practice and consistency across the service line, providing subject matter expertise for service line, including developing and delivering training and education on service line where required
  • Build and lead a community of practice for the service line
  • Look for ways to bring new products and services to P&G in the service lines
  • Global roll out of new products or services. CRM's will provide necessary resources and support for global roll outs in their region
  • Own service line contributions to marketing and communications e.g. Annual Reports, QBR's, Town Halls,etc
  • Own service line contributions to account leadership when needed e.g. contract renewals
  • Provide feedback to Regional CRM's on performance of regional service line team and being involved in recruitment of new personnel
  • Assist regional CRM with succession planning, recruitment and onboarding for service line where required


To apply you need to be / have:
The Candidate

Experience

  • A minimum 10 years Corporate Security Management experience within Security Operational Management structures and working with corporate clients.
  • Experience in leading a Global, Regional or large country Corporate Security with increasing responsibility within loss prevention, and/or law enforcement/intelligence field
  • Appropriate recognized Professional Security qualifications and memberships
  • Management system development, implementation and auditing experience;
  • Deep understanding of the Corporate Security Management regulatory & legal compliance.
  • Work knowledge of management and design of Security technology platforms and data management tools across multiple countries & regions.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience of vendor contract management, governance and assurance of delivery of KPI's and SLA's.
  • Experience of managing a large varied, multi-cultural team.
  • Practical working knowledge of up-to-date tools and techniques within a real estate environment and management of risk across a complex multi-site property portfolio.
  • Significant practical experience of problem solving security issues in a dynamic/diverse environment and implementation of risk control systems and processes
  • Demonstrated proficiency in navigating high-stress and high-impact emergency management and response
  • Experience in managing threat assessments, including risks, impact and mitigation of data/IT breaches and terrorist attacks
  • Working knowledge of technical and physical security systems; i.e. access control, intyruder alarm systems, and CCTV systems is required and management of security operations c entre's. Must have experience developing and managing physical security requirements across a variety of site types.
  • Experience working with local and national enforcement agencies; experience with international agencies preferred.
  • An agile approach to leadership and stakeholder management - able to operate effectively in a matrix structure.
  • A strong orientation to goals and measurable results.
  • Excellent communication skills to appropriately coach and educate at all levels of the account.
