We’re seeking a Newsletter Production Manager whose technical skills, design creativity, and willingness to learn will motivate them to produce high-quality, engaging newsletters that drive readership to GoodRx’s editorial content. This individual will own the technical development of each newsletter and build templates in our email service provider (ESP), while upholding standards and consistency across all editorial content and channels.
They will join a multi-functional effort alongside production, brand savings, content promotions, editorial, and technical teams to reach more healthcare consumers through valuable and thoughtful educational content.
The right candidate will have the consumer’s best interest at heart, a sharp eye for user experience, creativity in problem-solving, and a dedication to high-quality standards. This position reports to the Newsletter Editor on the Research and Communications Team, a cross-functional department composed of editors, writers, data analysts, medical experts, pharmacists, and content strategists with a shared passion to improve healthcare.
This role is based in San Francisco or Santa Monica and has the option to be remote in some states.
Responsibilities:
- Own the execution of newsletter campaigns through our ESP, Braze, while ensuring a consistent appearance and imagery that strengthens the GoodRx brand
- Ensure newsletter content accurately reflects the appropriate curation and promotionsIdentify, build, and segment audience lists based on the needs of each newsletter audience
- Proofread/quality assurance of all newsletter content and presentation before publishing
- Manage synergy between editorial and advertising calendars
- Improve newsletter campaign performance through testing and competitive analysis
- Manage URL targeting and exclusion using our digital experience platform, Optimizely
- Manage insights to contribute to editorial brainstorms and overall newsletter strategy
Skills & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience with email marketing or newsletters
- Familiarity with working in an ESP or other similar marketing automation tool
- Familiarity with working in a digital experience platform to launch AB tests and manage URL targeting/exclusion
- Hands on experience and proficiency in HTML
- Proven history creating high-impact and unique email campaigns
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires adapting to changing priorities and multi-tasking, while maintaining high attention to detail
- Strong organization and time management skills
