Summary: This position will support a new services contract to provide Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, and Intelligence (C5I)/Cyber Readiness Program Mission and Infrastructure Support Services to Commander, Naval Surface Forces, Pacific (CNSP) N6 Department Staff and Divisions. The CNSP Asset Support performs tracking and administration for CNSP and its claimant including Information Technology (IT)/Local Area Network (LAN) assets and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)-owned printers. Ensures command assets meet all cyber security and classification requirements, including proper storage, handling, inventory, disposal, clearing, sanitizing, and destruction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Completes required documentation for asset storage and disposal, including, but not limited to, DD-1149, DD-1348, Letters of Transmittal, and Classified Material Conversion (CMC) forms.
  • Prepares devices, for example - removing hard drives, storage devices and other hardware components to prepare them for destruction, and forms to perform disposal via the Defense Reutilization Management Office (DRMO), base recycling, and National Security Agency (NSA) CMC requirements.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for command asset (computers, monitors, keyboards, etc.) functions and processes.
  • Collects data resulting from data calls regarding CNSP assets for both afloat and ashore.
  • Provides technical assistance for afloat and ashore personnel in asset and peripheral inventory requirements and tracking.
  • Performs purchase and/or financial data calls in order to prepare Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submittals or other costing requirements.
  • Provides Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for CNSP asset troubleshooting, trouble ticket submittal, and coordination.
  • Develops and submits Move, Add, and Change (MAC) requests through NMCI/NGEN website to ensure availability of command assets.
  • Coordinates with various account holder approval authorities to ensure account access and asset availability.
  • Provides SME and technical assistance regarding fielded assets to CNSP claimants.
  • Provides upgrade tracking and coordination of command assets.
  • Supports drop and asset order requests for CNSP.
  • Supports any Information Technology Purchase Request (ITPR) submittals to ensure command assets meet compliance requirements.
  • Coordinates with various account holder authorities to obtain command assets, including LAN equipment, printers, and peripherals.
  • Develops and maintains inventory for command assets, peripherals, software, and other IT assets. Conducts scheduled and unscheduled inventories of these assets to ensure thorough coverage of CNSP headquarters and subordinate commands.
  • Develops and maintains a database to track the receipt, processing, and completion status of System Access and Authorization Request (SAAR) forms for accounts created for CNSP staff and supported personnel.
  • Performs Common Access Card (CAC)/Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Local Registration Authority (LRA) services for CNSP staff and supported personnel, to include the creation, revocation, suspension and issuance of SIPRNET network tokens, and associated PKI credentialing for daily operations.
  • Develops and maintains a database to track the receipt, processing, and completion status of SIPRNET tokens for accounts created for CNSP staff and supported personnel.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have all the training qualifications required to complete LRA duties, per CNSS Instruction No. 1300, paragraph 5.3.3, and shall meet DOD 8140 training and certification requirements.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills at all levels
  • Strong customer focus and effective inter-personal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, prioritization, and follow through
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Possess active listening skills
  • Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Must have an active Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of networks relevant to the wide area networks, network appliances, routers, switches, access points, software and hardware capabilities and operating system software.
  • Knowledgeable in application transport and network infrastructure protocols (SSL/TLS, DNS, DHCP, WINS, NTP, FTP, HTTPS, SMTP, CIFS, LDAP, and Microsoft AD), and possess an understanding of how to support these applications/protocols when accessed through VPN and firewall appliance
