The Huntington Performance Engineering and Monitoring (PEM) team is seeking an Infrastructure Manager to help move the team to the next level of application, service, platform, and infrastructure monitoring/observability. As the Manager of the PEM team, you'll help drive innovation in all aspects of observability and monitoring.
In this role, you will manage a team of 6-10 colleagues and contractors that deliver monitoring services to the entire Huntington Enterprise. Primary team responsibilities include:
- Implement monitoring in our various systems to meet needs of Operations and other teams based on their Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Fulfilling business data and research requests
- Support of Audit finding and action plan remediation and controls testing
- Perform Annual Application Access Reviews
- Support and implementation of infrastructure projects and upgrades
- Incident review and resolution, including root cause analysis
- Development and implementation of small enhancements and incident resolution
- Provide support to develop & improve the quality of technical engineering documentation
- Perform deployment, administration, management, configuration, testing, and integration tasks related to the platforms
- Help coach and mentor less experienced team members.
- Write operational documentation and knowledge base of known issues with solutions
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 7 years of IT experience
Experience managing engineers in enterprise environment.
Expertise in multiple infrastructure disciplines, including Monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Agile methodology, for AppDev or infrastructure deployments
Experience with multiple monitoring systems such as Dynatrace, Zenoss, and Aternity (incumbent systems), or similar.
Experience in Python programming language
Working knowledge of other modern development tools such as CI/CD, Git, and Jenkins
Experience with AIOps and event correlation.
Familiarity with success measurement (SLI/SLO/SLA)
Excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues quickly and effectively
Experience leading a remote workforce
Able to find opportunities for improvement and tackle them without external direction
Ability to "think outside of the box" and find creative solutions to operational problems
Dedication to collaboration, "teaching others to fish"-style knowledge sharing and cross training.
Excellent communication skills
Self-motivated & willing to learn
