We are seeking an experienced senior engineering manager for the IBM Cloud Infrastructure Network team. The engineering manager will be responsible for leading a team of VPC Network developers. This leadership role involves leading a number of VPC SDN engineering teams in the US and our Global Development Lab. If you are passionate about building the infrastructure for our Cloud Services, this would an ideal role to lead the future of IBM Cloud.
The primary responsibilities will include leading & managing the software development organization working on VPC SDN for the IBM Cloud.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 8-10 years technical expertise with large scale software and systems development & test.
- 3-5 years of experience directly managing development & test teams
- 5-7 years of enterprise software development & test lifecycle management
- 3-5 years of experience in hiring and building Development & Test team
- Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise :
- 3-5 years People Management experience
- 2-5 years of Agile development practice.
- 3-5 years of experience with Network Technologies
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Ability to understand enterprise business computing operations/requirements, and in particular, Cloud and communicate to service lines what is expected in order to consider a work item complete
- Ability to stand firm on issues yet be flexible and creative when working with stakeholders to find effective solutions
