Overview

The successful candidate needs to be flexible to work day and or evening hours based on community events that have been scheduled in order to drive the company vehicle to and from the scheduled event(s). This is a people facing role, you must be able to pivot and engage and lead and interact with the crowd this is more than a driving position! The Mobile Outreach Specialist (MOS) will coordinate operations and maintenance of a 40 foot mobile healthcare unit and is responsible for driving to multiple community-based locations to support community engagement initiatives. The MOS will support event coordination and demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines and provide follow through on community events requiring the mobile medical units.

*Candidate will need to have CDL drivers license*

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Operating knowledge and skill in driving large vehicles to include ambulances, fire trucks, buses or trailers preferred.
  • Licensure/certification/registration: BLS Cardiac Life Support certification (required within 90 days of hire); Valid Driver's License without restriction, with the exception of corrective lenses required. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
  • Additional skills required: Excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance. Physical demands: Occasionally, may require standing for extended periods of time, stooping, kneeling, crouching or climbing steps. Hearing must be within normal range, as well as near visual acuity, in order to take accurate vital signs and to detect any deterioration in patient condition. Must remain alert at all times while on duty. Subject to exposure to communicable/infectious disease. Ability to drive/travel to multiple locations/facilities as needed. Ability to work independently without close oversight, and as a team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels within and outside of Novant Health.
