Milwaukee Health Care Paternership-Director of Communications and Fund Development.
-5 - 10 years of experience in health care communications or non-profit management preferred.
-Master's degree in Marketing, Communication or related field preferred.
-Mission oriented - personal commitment to improving health and health care for underserved populations.
-Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills and experience.
-Superior writing and editing skills for corporate, clinical and community audiences.
-Experience working with and marketing to multicultural audiences.
-Knowledge and appreciation of Health Literacy related to outreach communications with vulnerable populations.
-Familiarity with healthcare finance and reimbursement models.
-Proficiency in website and social media copywriting, design and formatting simple flyers, brochures. Proficiency in InDesign a plus.
What You Will Do

  • Develop plans and execute strategies to enhance internal communications among MHCP members, affiliates, and key stakeholder groups.
  • Enhance awareness of the MHCP consortium and its sponsored and supported programs including the Milwaukee Enrollment Network (MKEN), Specialty Access for the Uninsured Program (SAUP), ED to Medical Home, Housing is Health, and Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) with external publics via mkehcp.org and healthymke.org. websites, e-newsletters, social media, presentations and collateral materials, and other communication vehicles and channels.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with local and trade media outlets, member communications leaders and vendors and manage MHCP marketing / communications budget.
  • Direct strategy and source funding opportunities and facilitate grant development and reporting to support MHCP sponsored initiatives and operations.
  • Oversee the management of the MHCP Health Systems' Shared Community Investment Fund (SCIF) and the MHCP Health Improvement Fund (HIF) in collaboration with the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties.
  • Work with MHCP Executive Director, staff, loaned executives, committees and task forces to coordinate and deliver effective meetings, presentations, and workplans.
  • Represent MHCP to internal and external publics, including media, funders, state-wide associations, government agencies, and national organizations.


What You Will Need
Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.


Work Experience:

  • 5 years of experience required.
  • 10 years of experience preferred.
  • 2 years of leadership or management experience required.
  • 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
