Summary

The Manager, Organizational Development (OD) will lead a team focused on maximizing the effectiveness, potential, and capacity of both people and the organization. The incumbent will manage all talent management practices an employee and/or leader experiences throughout their tenure with the organization. This role will continue to build upon the Lifetime Way Culture throughout all aspects of an employee's experience. The Manager will partner with Learning, Instructional Design, Talent Management, and Talent Management Business Partners to deliver an exceptional employee experience.

Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Develops and implements talent management and OD processes and programs that align workforce with key business strategies and initiatives. Responsible for regularly measuring and monitoring progress of Organizational cultural through the establishment and tracking of meaningful quantitative and qualitative business metrics. Identifies barriers to change and develops strategies and other initiatives to overcome those barriers.
  • Leads the development and design of consistent corporate talent management practices such as succession planning, performance appraisal, goal setting, and merit planning and partners with Talent Management Business Partners to deliver practices into their functional organization.
  • Implements the employee experience strategy to support the Lifetime Way Culture and Talent Management practices so that employees are attracted to and engaged with the organization and their work.
  • Supports, implements, and drives change management practices to help change happen efficiently and effectively across the organization.
  • Implements organizational effectiveness interventions including coaching, mentoring, team effectiveness and development assessments.
  • Partners with Learning and Instructional Design to deliver educational and developmental programs to increase individual and corporate performance and advance our cultural values and behaviors.
  • Manages a team that effectively delivers Organizational Development programs and practices that are designed in alignment with corporate strategic objectives. Manages divisional culture team strategy in support of broader organization wide goals and initiatives and best practice sharing.
  • Leads direct reports in identifying needs and best practices to deliver an exceptional employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Interviews, selects, and trains staff as appropriate. Evaluates and appraises performance. Motivates and counsels to improve performance and promote career development. Promotes personal and team accountability and team effectiveness through consistent engagement of team members, by holding regular standing team and individual meetings, providing feedback and feed-forward, and development discussions that connect back to our Values, Strategy, Mission and Vision.
  • Negotiates with external consultants and vendors as appropriate.
  • Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.
  • Maintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures.
  • Maintains knowledge of all relevant legislative and regulatory mandates and ensures that all activities are compliant with these requirements.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.
  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned by management.



Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in organizational development, organizational behavior, psychology, education, or human resources.
  • Certification in Human Resources to an accredited institution (SHRM or HCI) strongly preferred.
  • Two (2) or more years of demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing team. Preferred experience leading a learning, organizational development or talent management function.
  • Three (3) years' experience leading talent management functions and practices in a corporate setting. Experience with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Human Resources field such as knowledge of Talent Management Program Development Initiatives (Performance Management, Success ion Planning, Employee Development, Workforce Planning, and Conflict Resolution). Ability to design, develop, and execute those initiatives to completion.
  • Working knowledge of current HR policies and procedures, employment law, coaching, and mentoring preferred.
  • Three (3) years of experience developing and implementing corporate change management either in cultural strategies or business transformation strongly preferred.
  • Corporate and business unit level experience in developing strategic initiatives, managing projects, and implementing change management initiatives highly preferred.
  • Process design, team project management, and influencing skills.
  • Exceptionally strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
  • Valid NYS driver's license and ability to travel by car frequently.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office software suite.



Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation viewing a computer and using a keyboard, mouse and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time.
  • Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or trainings as needed.
