Job Description:
Position Summary
This role is responsible for testing and delivering complex software to accomplish business outcomes. These individuals are subject matter experts on testing practices ensuring that software is tested to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. They help condition and generate test data, build and execute both manual and automated test suites, record and communicate the test results, and assist with triaging defects. They also ensure regression test suites are maintained and well designed.
Individuals will be part of scrum teams, partnering with development to deliver on projects that are a part of integrated releases, monthly application code changes and support break fix work as well. In addition resources will support the automation of scripts, updating and managing them accordingly.
Required Skills
• 4-6 years of hands on experience in the Payments tech space, especially for Merchant• 4-6 years of hands on experience writing advanced SQL queries with strong data analysis skills• Good understanding of XML, SOAP, MQ, WSDL technologies• Experience in writing functional test plans, test scripts, and functional test execution• Proven experience with ALM, JIRA, qTest• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with quick adaptation to new technologies, methodologies, and systems• Full lifecycle development methodology, SOA Testing Concepts and Methodology• Strong software testing concepts• Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to convey message to a broad audience• Detail-oriented and persistent, able to drive complicated tasks through to completion• Ability to work in a cross functional, collaborative team environment• Individual contributor, capable of self-directing daily tasks• Seeks out best practices to find opportunities for improvements in test execution process
Desired Skills
- Experience with Test Automation, scripting and Regression testing.
- Test co-ordination across multiple applications
- Experience with defect management systems such as ALM or JIRA.
- Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Working knowledge with QA automation tools such as Selenium, TOSCA, QTP
- Functional Knowledge of Banking / Payments Domain
