As part of GSG, the Global Commercial Credit team (GCC) vison is to "Provide the world's best credit and underwriting experience every day. This role is an exciting part of GCC in which we support State and Government entities.

Responsibilities
  • Legal Holds process involves researching and action levies, garnishments and various court notices served on American Express and involve Merchant payables.
  • Analyzing incoming cases to determine if a Merchant has an account with AMEX; deciding proper course of action
  • Manage inbound and outbound calls to merchants, court officials and attorneys.
  • Generate payments, as well as, process adjustments to merchant accounts.
  • Assist in other Risk Functions to support business needs.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1-year Merchant experience
  • Proven analytical ability to review large amounts of data from various sources and assess/mitigate risk
  • Strong communication skills, while driving a successful customer experience on the phone
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment to meet deadlines/goals while building strong relationships with internal business partners
  • Ability to balance quality work, focusing on Compliance/Procedure while driving efficiency
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work within a cross functional, multi-tasking team Strong change management skills and a positive outlook
  • Strong proficiency in PC skills, including MS Word and Excel

Business hours of operations are currently Monday - Friday from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Position can be (Hybrid or Virtual)
