The Global Supply Enablement team's mission is to connect publishers with demand through merchandising, platform expertise, quality, sales & deal operations. As a Merchandising Strategist, you will carry that mission out through connecting supply and demand with a data-driven, knowledge-based approach in order to drive revenue for the Yahoo Ad Platforms. In joining the Merchandising team, you will play a critical role in translating the benefits of our supply opportunities to internal sellers and external buyers. You will be given the opportunity to use your ideas and creativity to put your own stamp on the Yahoo Exchanges business to unleash the potential of our full suite of supply opportunities across Yahoo Exchange and DSP.
Responsibilities:
  • Build and update inventory merchandising collateral that clearly articulates the value of supply available on Yahoo platforms (both the SSP as well as DSP) supply to internal teams, bidders and buyers
  • Collaborate with Publisher Sales and Inventory Partnerships team to understand new and existing supply opportunities across all Yahoo Exchange platforms
  • Collaborate with Deal Operations on approach for deal creation for public/evergreen deals for instant access and increased efficiency
  • Provide packaging support for seasonal and tentpole event opportunities, working with Premium O&O and Buyer Dev teams
  • Help manage one-off and ongoing inventory resources, including internal newsletter (Inventory Roundup), inventory catalog, Yahoo DSP public deals listings, supply one-sheets, PPT slides and more
  • Perform analysis on inventory and highlight key trends for inclusion in merchandising materials
  • Partner closely with the Open Demand team to understand needs of external buyers and incorporate feedback into merchandising deliverables
  • Partner with Marketing to produce an ongoing external inventory newsletter and other materials
  • Stay up to date on competitive landscape and industry trends to ensure messaging is differentiated and aligned with the current needs of the marketplace and buyers

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree
  • Minimum of 7 - 10 years work experience
  • Top-notch written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate ideas and data points clearly and concisely
  • Extensive experience designing slides in PowerPoint
  • Detail focused; ability to cross reference multiple data sources, ensure public published data is approved and correct
  • Ability to matrix manage initiatives with stakeholders across multiple business areas
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Ability to think creatively and solve new challenges
  • Customer-centric mindset
  • Relentlessly proactive, focused on ways to grow deal revenue
  • Team player in driving growth results combined with a positive attitude
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Programmatic advertising expertise, ideally across display, video and mobile
  • Experience with collateral design
