Evolv is looking for a Production Manager to oversee all business activities at our main manufacturing site 30 miles west of Evolv’s headquarters in Waltham. As the interface between Evolv and our Contract Manufacturer, you will be responsible for all logistics, contracts, forecasting, product orders, build plan execution, sales order execution, and all other business activities at the site.

Responsibilities

• Interface and direct the program managers at the CM
• Develop contracts for product orders with the CM
• Provide all product delivery schedules and production output schedules
• Solve issues with the CM to include material shortages, vendor problems and rejected materials
• Determine and set inventory levels
• Maintain a spare part inventory and deploy to Evolv’s service department
• Manage and implement cost reduction programs
• Assist Evolv Engineering with the launch of new products into manufacturing
• Implement all build schedules determined by Evolv’s Executive Team
• Rectify all manufacturing workmanship issues found at Evolv’s customers
• Approve and oversee all sales / shipping orders coming from Evolv
• Work with Evolv Manufacturing Engineers to ensure all manufacturing activities align with Evolv’s targets
• Flexibility to perform off-track tasks to get the job done

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering
• 10 years of program management experience at a hardware-based manufacturing company
• Several years-experience with product costing to specifically include all aspects of CoGS
• Direct involvement with managing vendors, solving sourcing issues, and negotiating components pricing
• Experience with developing contracts, pricing, terms and managing large million-dollar hardware orders
• Well-versed in relevant software (Excel, MS Office, ERP / MRP systems)
• Ability to excel at multi-tasking and have a high attention to detail
