Role Summary
Cox Media is seeking leader for Streaming and Digital media for its YurView line of business. YurView is Cox Media's owned and operated video distribution platform. YurView produces and distributes programming of local interest on the YurView Channel which is available to Cox Communications cable customers and all others online.
The Streaming & Digital Manager works collaboratively with YurView and Cox Media leaders to develop and implement YurView's digital distribution strategy as well as provides comprehensive lifecycle management for the strategy and supporting platforms.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Demonstrate leadership and subject matter expertise for Streaming and Digital video distribution by leading cross-departmental efforts to develop and implement a comprehensive digital video distribution strategy including but not limited to the following:
    • Partnering with Sales teams to identify strategies to increase viewership, market share, and usage to grow audiences and revenue
    • Collaborating with Cox Media markets to facilitate platform launches and/or enhancements, ensure proper training, inform compelling marketing collateral, and gather market and customer feedback
    • Ensuring alignment across all key stakeholders including Marketing, Research, YurView and Market leaders to ensure platform offerings/benefits are properly positioned and backed by data-driven research
    • Partnering with the third-party vendor partners, and the YurView Operations team to implement fulfillment and best practices
    • Ensuring internal stakeholder needs are properly addressed and documented throughout platform design, development and lifecycle management
    • Partnering with Finance team to develop and maintain an operating plan and budget for Streaming and Digital platforms and manage expenses within the budget, including vendor payments
  • Assist in the development of business cases to support platform updates and roadmap investments, identifying opportunities to enhance the value of the platform and adjacent properties
  • Recommend/make decisions regarding streaming and digital platforms that have a significant impact to business outcomes and carry potential consequences if unsuccessful
  • Work closely with YurView Market Managers, field local sales, and other partner sales channels, ensuring that each group has a fresh perspective of the platform and related digital products so they understand how the platform fits into Cox Media and YurView's solutions portfolio
  • Interface with sales teams providing subject matter expertise on the platform and client strategy where applicable
  • Vendor management of third-party relationships ensuring a high level of accountability and customer service with continual evaluation of performance and relationship
  • Develop, evaluate, and maintain leading business relationships internally and externally with partners, peers, vendors to articulate our needs for streaming and digital platforms and services that help facilitate company goals.
  • Regularly conduct analysis and other required analysis or presentations for YurView's Streaming and Digital business


Qualifications:
Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 6 years' experience in a related field(i.e., video distribution / streaming and/or digital management, media/advertising sales management, etc.).
  • The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year of experience; or 10 years' experience in a related field
  • Demonstrated experience with Streaming and Digital Media advertising products required
  • Strong ability to work across departmental boundaries to drive toward common goals
  • Proven ability to develop detailed work plans and execute under pressure. Must be able to work independently and deliver measurable results
  • Must be a team-player and thrive in an environment that promotes strong individual skills that are easily applied to goals of the team and company
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced and sometime ambiguous environment, complete multiple tasks at one time, meet deadlines and self-recognize and adapt to priorities that change often
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization, detail, problem-solving and follow-up skills. Exudes a professional image inside and outside the company
  • Ability to build and maintain constructive partnerships with diverse group of internal and external work groups
  • Shows commitment to self-development by demonstrated desire to learn new ways of doing business, staying abreast of competitors/industry major initiatives
  • Ability to influence people that don't report into the position
  • Strategic analysis and planning experience
  • PC skills required, including strong working knowledge of all MS products


Preferred

  • BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (i.e., Marketing, Advertising, Business, etc.).
  • 2+ years of experience in a management role or leading cross functional projects preferred.
  • 1+ years Supervisory or management experience
  • Project management software experience a plus


USD 84,600.00 - 127,000.00 per year
