The Manager of Strategy and Innovation will join as a key member of our delivery operations team to take ownership of medium and long-term strategy for success. Delivery Partners are a crucial piece of Gopuff's story and play an extremely valuable role as our key connection point to the end customer. Delivery Partners deliver the magical experience that is Gopuff to customers across the US and our team is proud to build the operations, process, technology, support and overall infrastructure that allows them to be successful. We are a centralized team managing new Delivery Partner growth through pay and incentive models, compliance, customer service, communications and anything else that touches on the Delivery Partner experience.
This role works closely with delivery operations leadership to define and build our medium and long term strategies for success. You'll learn and understand every aspect of delivery operations internally as well as the industry as a whole to shape our growth, retention and engagement strategies for drivers. You'll work internally with every leader within delivery operations to help align their work to the broader strategy and develop tactics and KPIs to help our teams ensure success. External to our team you'll work closely with finance, product, engineering, marketing, market launch, and new business verticals teams to ensure our priorities map to each other's success metrics. You'll take a strong role in translating business needs into product strategy and leading the product roadmap and prioritization efforts from within the delivery operations organization. You'll own internal planning cycles and partner with external teams on larger quarterly cycles as well. You'll also drive innovation within our org, building a culture that rewards bold ideas and new ways of approaching problems. You'll build frameworks and systems that allow our team members to innovate freely, fail fast, iterate quickly and learn more and more about our business.
Together we will build the strategy for a delivery partner engine that can support Gopuff's rapid geographic expansion as the industry leader in instant everyday needs.
Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in strategy, planning, consulting or operations roles at similar companies.
• Exceptional data-driven business acumen and ability to hone in on signal to shape strategy.
• Experience working closely with product teams and translating business needs into product requirements and prioritizations.
• Experience project managing internal and external planning cycles, working with all levels of employee from front line to VP.
• Big picture thinker whose great at coming up with bold ideas and out of the box solutions.
• Great communicator with cross functional leadership experience. Able to use data to drive buy-in across various partner teams.
• Deep understanding of complex problems and interdependencies. Able to identify and quantify second and third order problems.
• Deeply analytical approach to problem solving and framework building.
• Ability to drive results through your own execution as well as through workstream owners you don't control.
• Creative problem solving. Out of the box thinking to not just copy industry standards but re-invent the driver marketplace for the gig economy.
• Strong presentation skills, able to synthesize complex datasets and topics into actionable insights. Ability to generate buy in from stakeholders.
