Manager Securities Based Lending
Overview
This position will focus on driving continued growth in our securities-based lending (SBL) business, through both internal and external channels. For internal channels, the focus will be on associate training and development, helping bankers and other client-facing associates to properly position SBLs with clients. For external channels, the focus will be on engaging with our partners on the Advisor Credit Exchange and directly with third-party investment managers, with whom it makes sense for us to partner, offering SBLs that are secured by assets managed by these third-party advisors. Additional coordination and collaboration with our internal product, credit, technology, and support teams will be required to further enhance our SBL solutions and ensure a high-quality client experience.
Responsibilities
- Internal Business Development - Engages with bankers and other client-facing team members (Wealth Consultants, Portfolio Strategists, Financial Consultants, etc.) to help ensure awareness of our SBL solutions so they are properly position with clients. Establishes regular communication with team members to ensure that SBL remains top of mind for continued growth. Serves as the primary point-person for questions around our overall SBL solutions and process.
- External Business Development - Partners with the Advisor Credit Exchange sales team to help drive awareness and utilization of the ACE platform. Engages directly with advisor firms and advisors who are live on the ACE platform to help address questions and drive demand. Engages with other third-party investment managers to establish direct relationships where we can provide SBL solutions backed by the assets they manage. Develops regular communication and outreach to drive increased utilization and growth across all external partners.
- Product and Process Enhancement - Partners closely with internal teams (credit, product, technology, fulfillment, etc.) to help define/streamline processes, address questions and concerns, and provide client feedback, all with the goal of increasing efficiencies, reducing risk and enhancing the client experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Private Banking, Financial Services, or Financial Operations including a supervisory role OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Private Banking, Financial Services, or Financial Operations including a supervisory role
