The Manager of the Mainframe Storage Team will oversee a group of Systems Programmers that are responsible for the ongoing support for all mainframe storage configurations and administration for multiple large customers of Ensono.
Responsibilities:
The Manager of the Mainframe Storage Team will oversee a group of Systems Programmers that are responsible for the ongoing support for all mainframe storage configurations and administration for multiple large customers of Ensono.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for all storage related projects and incidents.
- Possess hands on knowledge of the skills needed to maintain cutting edge storage administration.
- Conduct one to one meetings will all team members to provide direction and feedback.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Enhance the performance of the team through mentoring and guidance.
- Stay on top of changes in technologies and methodologies.
- Manage team's ticket queue and follow up on aging tickets.
- Coordinate responses to Major Incidents and resolve problems quickly and accurately.
- Review assignments for accuracy and quality where applicable.
- Set yearly goals, aligning to the Business Unit. Review with each team member regularly.
- Attend client meetings where applicable.
- Collaborate with other departments.
- Support DR test setup and execution.
- Ensure the team has met all training and certification requirements.
- Participate in and provide timely responses to all audits.
- Participate in on-boarding of new clients.
- Possess 10 years of experience in mainframe storage management.
- Know the state-of-the-art mainframe storage technology.
- Have an in-depth understanding of DFSMS, DSS, HSM, RMM, CA-1, ICKDSF, TDMF, CSM, PPRC, catalog structures, sysplexes, and REXX.
