Manager, IT Asset Management

We’re looking for a Manager, IT Asset Manager to join Snap Inc. This role will also be responsible for the operations of the IT procurement, hardware & inventory management functions, along with driving the evolution of globally applicable asset management policies. They will work collaboratively to define support best practices, drive adherence to process, and coordinate IT Asset related projects.
This person must exhibit a high level of professionalism in providing excellent customer service and exercise sound judgment to provide timely resolution of business requests. They must understand the office culture and maintain excellent relationships with global customers, business partners, vendors, and IT team members.
This role requires a hands-on leader, responsible for assisting local and remote staff across multiple locations & time zones, so this person will have had previous experience within a logistics orientated leadership role.
What you’ll do:
Work closely with the IT leadership team on strategic initiatives.
Responsible for administrative duties within the IT procurement and inventory management function.
Develop robust processes and systems to maintain IT inventory and assets; Develop and implement procedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their life cycles. Partner with IT Service Owners to implement controls for hardware stock.
Combine hands-on support with directly managing people leads & ICs across time zones, including managing performance; setting schedules, holding 1:1s, providing clear direction on tasks, projects and delivering feedback.
Manage and triage incoming work for the region: tickets triage, project work, etc.
Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure resolution in a timely manner; acts as final point of contact for technical or personnel escalations.
Drive multiple information technology projects and drive project deliverables.
Responsible for inventory controls and inventory accuracy of equipment and other IT assets
Minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking.
Develop a reverse logistics system for receiving, testing, re-stocking and cataloging decommissioned equipment globally
Forecasting / Budgeting:
Develop and implement inventory/software forecasting procedures within internal and external stakeholders
Work with IT Leadership to translate needs into forecasted spend, including tracking of actuals vs budget
IT Purchasing Operations:
Manage IT Purchasing Team to execute on global order management
Maintains relationships with multiple vendors across our global theatre; including dissemination of purchase forecasts to ensure supply
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Natural problem solver who enjoys identifying ways to make things better.
Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate flexibility in managing multiple priorities.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on achieving goals through problem solving and collaboration.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
3-5+ years of proven experience in asset management, with an International remit.
3+ years of leadership or management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience operating within a globally relevant, fast paced enterprise environment
3+ years of experience with International logistics
3+ years managing vendor relationships Internationally
