What you’ll do 

Transformation, Training & Optimization 

-Build & lead a team of clinical systems analysts & other experts to implement, configure, train and optimize health and wellness systems with a focus on the end-user of systems as well as clinical and operational user needs 

-Work alongside system team verticals to develop process and plans to support solution selection, implementation, onboarding, integrations, testing, site and user readiness, ongoing maintenance, support and optimization. 

-Examine the human factors associated with EHR implementation to design better systems and processes around EHR utilization and overall change management to drive adoption of systems 

-Provide structures for team members to bring up new ideas during and after EHR implementation. It’s easy to become so focused on the implementation that you forget to innovate; but if you engage clinicians and seek to understand what isn’t working, then you can fix the issues and increase buy-in 

-Construct a user-centric approach & team that can teach clinicians and other system end-users the best practices for using systems 

-Lead all clinical and operational workflow analysis and process improvement initiatives on an ongoing basis 

 

Management 

– Serve as transformation leader for several large systems delivery teams; lead multi-disciplinary team to deliver KTLO, foundational, and large, timely projects for assigned systems 

– Meet targeted service level agreements (SLAs) for assigned system 

– Prioritize projects and work to ensure alignment with Product Owners / Managers and business leaders; provide systems / business process updates and status 

– Serve as primary contact for vendors of assigned systems 

– Provide input to shared services team on impact of vendor roadmaps on H-E-B technology plans 

– Apply understanding of vendor contracts terms on assigned systems (payment, renewal, termination terms) 

– Drive contract terms to support / influence desired business outcomes and cost reductions 

– Identify process challenges; offer potential solutions; lead organization in process changes / improvements 

– Develop plans / lead execution of technology upgrades to maintain application portfolio currency 

– Lead budget planning; create CPRs; manage budgets for multiple major efforts; ensure capital requests for approved projects / portfolios are included in capital plan; provide critical technical data for inclusion in capital request presentations 

– Develop creative alternatives when requested money is not available 

– Provide input for optimization of delivery models 

– Maintain accurate and effective resource and capacity planning; use a data-driven approach to understand and minimize effort-driven cost of delivery 

– Apply expertise of all applicable technology delivery models to accurately deliver agreed-upon work on time 

– Set goals for team / team Partner growth; provide frequent performance feedback; write / deliver Corporate-directed performance reviews; address poor performance; develop top-tier talent 

– Review / select candidates for interviews; assist with interviews; make hiring decisions for assigned teams 

– Train Managers in processes / procedures, expense / capital processes, resume-review techniques, interviewing approaches, and documentation / feedback techniques 

 

Strategy 

– Serve as strategic leader with Product Owners and senior leaders on technology strategy, solution discovery, service management, risk / relationship management 

– Apply deep understanding of tech stack roadmap supporting assigned business systems; develop plans to effectively interweave foundational technology upgrades with business deliverables 

– Research / understand / select technology options that support business goals 

– Lead long-term expense and capital reduction on assigned systems areas; align technology to meet long-term goals 

 

Who You Are 

– 10+ years of combined applied clinical and systems experience; clinical experience defined as a clinician (nurse, physician, or other health professional) in a health care setting and systems experience includes and health information technology (IT) development and implementation inclusive of EHR, patient/provider engagement, clinical decision support (CDS), quality measurement, system design, standard terminologies, analytics (e.g., databases, data warehouses, data queries) and user experience/usability. 

-Experience conducting clinical and operational workflow assessments that result in plans of action for systems 

-Experience in developing and executing on scalable training and onboarding plans for clinical and non-clinical staff 

– 10+ years of business / technology experience with a broad range of exposure to various technical environments and business segments 

– 8+ years of management experience 

– You have a successful track record of influencing vendor roadmaps that support changing business needs / trends 

– You’re an expert in applicable technology delivery models 

– You understand business unit drivers for success, and their processes / approaches to business models 

– You’re comfortable working complex issues with senior management 

– You can maintain processes and leadership philosophy in a space of great ambiguity 

– You can recognize / develop strengths of others 

– You have leadership, influencing, problem-solving, and decision-making skills 

– You have strong business acumen and creativity 

– You have strong analysis and problem-solving skills 

 

Preferred Experience 

10+ Years of experience working in Healthcare field with clinical background and certification or licensure 

5+ Years of experience with EHR/EMR Systems, Patient and Provider Portals, Engagement Platforms, Telehealth and integrations 

Experience Working in and Supporting Healthcare Clinics
