We are hiring for a Full-Time, Manager of Events at our downtown campus.

About the Role:

The Events Team Manager will Lead and direct the planningand execution of all meetings and special events in the Americas Region -including but not limited to conventions, incentive trips, regional expos,virtual events, etc. Working with the Programs Director and under the directionof the West Regional President set the strategic vision and direction forevents carried out within the Americas Region. In addition, the Events TeamManger will utilize strong leadership and relationship building competencies toset execution timelines and goals for Americas events. The successful candidatewill have event marketing and industry background that includes management ofmultiple projects simultaneously, a track record for meeting deadlines andstaying on budget, and excellent intercommunication skills. Review and approvethe final selection of venues, menus, vendors, technology, and other eventsupport services. Negotiate, review, and approve vendor contracts.

Oversee communications strategies, contentcreation and marketing assets regarding special events. The Events Team Manager will work with therecognition team on event recognition strategies and execute on recognitionelements as they pertain to events. Direct the creation and purchase of brandedlogo gear to support events. Direct and work with design team to ensure eachevent follows branding guidelines set forth by the Company while also followingcurrent trends. Direct and manage a team that is in charge of logistics, setup,pricing, travel coordination, event communications, promotional items, eventmarketing, and additional duties as required pertaining to all regional events.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 5-7+ years of experience working in Events
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and team members within a team environment
  • Ability to travel and work late nights/weekends related to event execution
  • Excellent relationship building and negotiating skills
  • Contract & vendor negotiation skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of complex event tools and registration software
  • Experience in managing and executing various corporate events
  • Ability to work collaboratively with functional peers across departments
  • Prior experience with creating and managing budgets
  • Capable of driving strategic initiatives through others while also producing output yourself
  • Passionate about creating memorable experiences for customers and sales leaders
  • Customer-obsessed
  • Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Ability to work in an agile, fast paced high stress environment
