Manager, Ed-Tech Business and Operations

Spotlight is a start-up California tech company recently acquired by Pearson, the global leader in educational software and publishing.

What we do:

Our mission is to illuminate educational data. We seek to improve educational outcomes by improving how parents, students and teachers understand and use the troves of educational data available from assessments, online learning platforms and other ed-tech tools.

We have proprietary technology to generate millions of personalized animated videos, each one customized to the individual viewer, in up to 15 different languages. Each video is unique based on automated analysis of large sets of data. Each video includes, data, data-driven insights, and recommendations on actions that can be taken for improvement. We call it the "whatso-whatand now what" of educational data.

Our customers are schools, states and corporations wishing to communicate results of assessments (tests) to the students, parents and employees.

Who we are:

We are a perfect combination of an entrepreneurial start-up and an established stable corporation. That's because we were a 30-person start-up until twelve months ago when we were purchased by Pearson. We are growing at over 100% annually, and have a huge future in supplying our technology to the different divisions of Pearson, which is the leading education company in the world.
