Job Description
The Digital Network Operations Center (DNOC) is NBCUniversal's 24/7 operation predicated on supporting the Enterprise Product Portfolio and ensuring content distribution through the entire Concept To Cash Supply Chain; The Product Portfolio includes the centralized content fulfillment supply chain for Long Form and Shorform, the scheduling systems driving playout for the Linear channels and VOD fulfillment across D2C, enterprise Content Management (Rights, Titles, etc) systems, and the products enabling Ad Insertion across digital experiences. The DNOC provides proactive monitoring and quick issue resolution across the entire portfolio.
In this role, you will manage day-to-day operations and staffing of the DNOC. As the face of Technical Operations to internal clients, partners and in some circumstances the public, this team plays a key role of liaison and escalation point of contact on behalf of NBCUniversal and you will be responsible for ensuring the team represents Technical Operations and the company in the proper way. You will be partnering with clients and internal teams to work on strategic initiatives aimed at increased reliability, productivity, and growth. Finally, you will also be accountable for measuring and driving increased quality across the Enterprise Product Portfolio, by leading monthly ops reviews that leverage key metrics, trends, and analysis of the production issues that the DNOC handles across the Products.
Qualifications

  • Lead Operations and Support personnel to ensure the availability and reliability of NBCUniversal assets distributed to partners and the end consumer
  • Own the scheduling of the 24/7 operation to ensure the necessary coverage is always provided
  • Coach, mentor, lead, train, and manage a diverse team for overall organizational success
  • Develop and manage SOPs to be leveraged by the operation
  • Drive the execution plan to on board new workflows / products
  • Own and manage strong working relationships with internal and external partners and clients
  • Oversee the end-to-end distribution of NBCUniversal digital assets across a diverse portfolio of products, platforms, and partnerships
  • Own and manage L1 and L2 support, including escalation, resolution and reporting across the digital footprint
  • Partner with Technical Operation peers on delivery assurance and reliability to internal and external clients
  • Partner with engineering to monitor traditional and digital (terrestrial IP) signal transmission
  • Lead strong partnership with our product and engineering to implement new technologies, resolve partner issues, and maintain minimal on-air disruption
  • Work directly with distribution partners and clients to resolve issues, satisfy delivery obligations, and execute changes to our digital footprint in a dynamic environment
  • Partner with the leadership team to develop technological and operational enhancements
  • Drive RCA investigations for large scale outages and provide detailed reports to leadership when needed


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 3 years o experience in a Operational or Support based role, preferably Digital Operations or Product Support
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with in Television/Broadcast, Media, Technology, or related field
  • Prior experience using JIRA or comparable ticketing systems strongly preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, or analytical skills
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a role exhibiting excellent written and oral communications, effective interpersonal skills, project management, and strong formal presentation abilities
  • Willingness and ability to work or be on call at any time, sometimes on short notice in order to support a 24/7/365 operation
  • Must be willing to work at Englewood Cliffs, NJ
