The Managers of Delivery Partner Operations will join as a key member of our delivery operations local management team and help build and manage our day to day operations. You will be focused on developing the team, programs, and tools that will ensure that we have the best in class delivery experience for our employee delivery partners and most importantly our customers. Delivery partners are a crucial piece of Gopuff's story and play an extremely valuable role as our key connection point to the end customer. They deliver the magical experience that is Gopuff to customers across the area and our team is proud to build the operations, process, technology, support and overall infrastructure that allows them to be successful. You will help manage a local team of leads and specialists that has a laser focus on ensuring we exceed all service expectations. You will manage, help develop, and implement programs and initiatives that help us build Delivery Partner Loyalty, Efficiency, and Happiness. You will help us ensure that Delivery Partners work when we need them most. We are in major growth mode and you will help us build our local team. We will build our operations to redesign the future of the on demand product delivery and not conform to the present model.
Responsibilities

    • Recruit, Hire, and Train great delivery Delivery Partners.
    • Daily and weekly scheduling of delivery Delivery Partners.
    • Handle all daily escalations for delivery Delivery Partners.
    • Assist in designing, implementing, and adapting programs that allow us to scale our delivery network in your metro and across the country.
    • Develop and manage delivery network KPI's.
    • Partner with the local Field Operations team to ensure that all service goals are met or exceeded. This will be achieved by ensuring we have happy and efficient Delivery Partners that adhere to their schedules and work when needed most.
    • Conduct automated employee reviews for all delivery personnel on a twice per year basis.
    • Mentor and develop all delivery network personnel to enable the growth of the Delivery Partner management team.


Qualifications

    • 5+ years people management experience. Ability to hire, develop and build a high performance team. Experience managing people is needed for this role.
    • Able to proactively recognize problems with your team and help find the best outcome.
    • Be obsessed with improving our engagement tools and creating great outcomes for our drivers.
    • Excellent problem solving skills. Ability to think outside the box, and advocate for improvements. Be willing to try new things and learn from failures.
    • Comfortable using and creating data to solve problems or kick off initiatives.
    • People motivator that also focuses on team member development.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross functionally across various business teams to define and achieve success together.
    • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to create team and cross functional buy in.
    • Willing to learn on the fly and use the learning for personal and team development.

    • Strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurial spirit with relentlessly high standards and high attention to detail.
    • Leadership ability with excellent interpersonal communication. (both verbally and written)
    • Highly empathetic.
    • Must be a collaborative, cross-functional team player and comfortable partnering with a variety of teams.
    • Data driven - you like to solve problems using data to support creative decisions.
    • Proactive & independent, always looking for ways to take initiative and improve existing programs/processes.
    • Resourceful - is able to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to roll up sleeves and do the work yourself.
    • Strong organizational skills, must be able to prioritize various activities.
    • Welcomes constructive feedback and uses it to grow.
    • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
