About the job
This position is needed to lead a team of professionals that helps Twilio manage and support crisis events that may adversely impact the company. As part of the Trust & Security organization, the Crisis Management team proactively plans and prepares for threats relevant to Twilio through developing plans, training & exercise, and partnering with internal customers across the business.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Lead and inspire a high performing team of talented individuals
- Mentor and grow team members for their immediate and long-term careers
- Cultivate an enterprise program that embeds crisis management processes into our daily operations
- Identify strategic short and long term objectives for crisis management initiatives
- Create and nurture a community of Twilions that from the Corporate Crisis Management team
- Champion program management best practices (e.g. charter, strategy, and roadmap) for the program’s continued growth
- Navigate ambiguous situations with no instruction book in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Leverage technology and tools to power automation of processes and tasks to enable growth at scale

Required:
- 3+ years of applied experience in crisis management discipline or equivalent
- 5+ years of applied experience with program/project management or equivalent
- Ability to influence and build effective working relationships with all levels of the organization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to formulate issues and recommendations clearly
- Strong analytical skills, writing skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem solving
- Ability to quickly review information, determine its significance, and take actions in alignment with established processes
- Schedule: Ability to work non-standard, weekend and holiday hours during active incidents via a managed on-call rotation
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Desired:
- Experience in managing direct reports
- Knowledge of domain specific software and tools
- An understanding of cloud communications and the unique challenges therein of security, availability, and critical dependencies.
Location
This role will be in-office or remote.

- The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $127,960 - $201,080
- Non-Sales: Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
