Summary:

Our client is looking for a manager on the Cloud Services Team. The client is based out of Newton, MA office and this role is fully remote with infrequent on-site visits (approx. 1 per quarter). This hands-on leader will be responsible for a team of system engineers to support the company's cloud and server system operations including Active Directory, Windows Servers, virtualization, and storage platforms.

This role will be primary liaison with vendor partners and company business stakeholders for areas including system architecture, implementation, integration, monitoring, incident management and security. The IT Systems Manager must be a thought leader for technology, exhibit excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for day-to-day operations of cloud and server system landscape. This includes understanding the current architecture, having the appropriate tools & processes to monitor for potential issues, and coordinating the appropriate organizational responses to resolve.
• Partner with all business stakeholders on enhancements and projects to business systems, while also leading strategic IT roadmap initiatives on behalf of the organization.
• Oversee the annual IT budget ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Life cycle management for enterprise server and storage hardware and software systems.
• Maintain various system licenses, warranties, and support agreements.
• Maintain up to date on technology trends and industry best practices.
• Ability and willingness to occasionally work after hours, weekends and participate in the on-call schedule.
• Maintain operational internal documentation including, but not limited to, Business Continuity plans, Network Diagrams, training materials and standard operating procedures.

Requirements:
• 3+ years of Information Technology Management/Leadership Role experience
• Strong experience with Microsoft cloud services such as Azure, Windows Servers, PowerShell, system automation and Office 365.
• Strong experience with VMware virtualization and SANs with Pure and Netapp.
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems
• Experience managing, mentoring; and motivating a technical staff.
• Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams and building sustainable processes.
• Ability to address undefined problems; learn, adapt, innovate, and escalate when necessary.
• Proven analytical capabilities; experience in developing assessment reports, metrics, and reporting mechanisms.
• Experience defining and communicating requirements, writing policies and procedures, adapting requirements to technical and business needs, and providing training to stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and influence leaders across functions and effectively communicate to all levels of the organization
