Responsibilities

As a Manager of our Client Service team you'll lead and mentor a team of Client Service Associates. This team is committed to continuous improvement through empowerment and management of data. You'll find solutions that enhance the overall client experience with Principal!

We are looking for a strong leader with the ability to lead through change and be an effective change agent for our department. The Manager within Client Service will help merge the small market IRT business into our Principal retirement services model. Our focus is to provide a consistent service, with minimal disruptions to our Plan Sponsors.

Your day will be filled with:

  • Identifying, setting, and achieving division goals, ensuring results align with business unit and corporate initiatives.
  • Keeping senior leadership informed of results and emerging trends.
  • Managing a team that encourages ownership, accountability, risk, creativity, decision making, and results.
  • Creating an environment that inspires trust and respect between team members.
  • Encouraging participation in decision making and allow others to influence decisions.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external partners to identify and understand customer and business unit needs and objectives.
  • Implementing solutions to improve efficiency and results.
  • Promoting collaboration and communication to support customer service delivery across multiple product lines.
  • Resolving escalated issues of a sensitive or critical nature and negotiating solutions.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, plus 6+ years related work experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory position and strong retirement knowledge required.
  • Experience starting a specialized team is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication, organizational/management, leadership, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven knowledge of retirement industry and customer service requirements.
  • Overnight travel may be required



Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range

$74000 - $102000 / year

Additional Information

Location: This position can be done remotely if not in proximity to a local office. Candidate's would need to have a dedicated work area, high speed internet access and ability to learn remotely.
