Our Strategy & Operations team at Collibra is responsible for defining and articulating where Collibra is headed as well as defining and leading the operationalization of that strategy. We are a brand new team as of September, and we are looking for a Manager of Business  Operations to help build a path forward for that arm of our group!

This person will facilitate the seamless execution of our corporate operations priorities in a highly cross-functional, collaborative, and visible role. They will both inform the strategy and content for as well as help lead the actual execution of key live and asynchronous alignment activities, including meetings, presentations, off sites, and documentation initiatives. Perhaps most importantly, they will contribute directly and indirectly to earning a reputation of excellence, collaboration, and fun for our new team.

We’re looking for somebody who is excited by the opportunity presented by ambiguity, believes that deeply understanding a business and organization is critical to an impactful operations function, and who loves building bridges across distributed teams.

The Manager of Business Operations at Collibra is responsible for:

  • Supporting the strategic planning cycle and company operating cadence on an on-going basis.
  • Assisting in developing the actual frameworks, processes, and channels through which we drive alignment across the organization.
  • Helping manage information flow within the executive team, as well as between the executive team and the rest of the company; empower our leaders to provide consistent information to their teams and stakeholders.
  • Developing frameworks that are flexible and responsive to this diverse organization’s needs, carefully balancing effort and return across departments.
  • Leading the definition of agendas for key meetings across the executive team, company senior leadership, and other critical groups in operationalizing our plans.
  • Taking both a qualitative and quantitative approach to identify gaps in our approach to driving alignment through communication and collaboration, and using both your authority and influence the company’s capacity to deliver on its plans.

You Have:

  • 5-7 years of experience in operations, communications, HR, marketing, or project management.
  • A genuine passion for details, systems, and repeatability, and a track record to demonstrate it.
  • Extensive track record of asserting influence without direct authority.
  • Experience building strong relationships with business partners across functions, levels, and geographies.
  • Experience in driving the definition of your role in an ambiguous, flexible environment.
  • Meaningful exposure to the quantitative components of both strategy and operations.

You Are:

  • Passionate about the value of both process and culture to the success of an organization.
  • Excited about the opportunity to help set the tone for operational collaboration at Collibra.
  • Consistently identified by those in your circles as somebody who is always able to simply get things done.
  • Are comfortable with and enjoy engaging with business strategy, quantitative analysis, and spreadsheets.

Reporting to Collibra’s VP of Strategy & Operations, measures of success are:

  • Within your first month you will dive into learning about our business through spending time with key partners and beginning to contribute to in-flight operational initiatives.
  • Within your third month you will be driving the execution of several key operational channels and have identified and will be building your own vision of how to make them successful.
  • Within your sixth month you will be fully up to speed on the business, and independently leading a set of operational touch points with the company and working with our team to identify gaps and opportunities in Collibra’s operations.
