Mainframe Solutions Architect leverages knowledge of IBM mainframe technology to help document, shape, and deliver mainframe software tools optimization/rationalization roadmap for Ensono and for our clients. Work directly with senior executives and leadership to identify and address technology gaps, strategic goals, and business imperatives impacted by infrastructure technologies. Suggest new technologies or new approaches to achieve business goals. Develop methodologies to integrate technology innovation with existing governance and enterprise architecture processes. Provide fully costed solution architecture to meet client and prospective client requests. Maintain and update documentation related to organization-wide IT activities and technology roadmaps. Communicate progress and direction through formal presentations, collaborative meetings, and content publishing to mixed audiences.

• Collaborates with Ensono mainframe SMEs
• Provides creative expertise to communicate the value of competitive tools swaps
• Guides software swap scoping exercises
• Collaborates and coordinates with select tools rationalization partners
• Understands how whole picture aligns to overall Ensono strategy
• Accountable for working with the client to obtain the mainframe software tools portfolios
• Accountable for the creation, coordination, and presentation of software tools rationalization sales team / client Ensono swap solutions & presentation materials
• Accountable for the development and presentation of swap related Total Cost of Ownership rough order of magnitude analysis development
• Accountable for results presentation design of the infrastructure solution that meets or exceeds the requirements utilizing Ensono guided best-of-breed tools swap listing
• Accountable for being the technical subject matter expert for the scoping Statement of Work (SOW) development
• Accountable for the development of a comprehensive mainframe tools software swap delivery plan
• Engages in project communications with the client using a consultative approach, anticipates obstacles, and recommends solution options to mitigate.
• Accountable for the accuracy, process, integrity, quality and stewardship of client mainframe infrastructure solutions

QUALIFICATIONS
Required

• Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience
• Extensive previous background with IBM mainframes, including previous experience as a systems programmer supporting complex mainframe environments

• Preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
• Previous experience with the operation and/or replacement of mainframe tools across one or more functional domains i.e. Storage / Testing / Change / Systems / Automation / Database etc.,
